It has been a real pleasure doing business with R. H. Young Cooling & Heating. Recommended to me by my neighbor, I called and hired them because my furnace had stopped giving off heat during the night. I knew I was in good hands, the minute I called. I spoke to a lovely woman, named Nancy, who expressed a concern for my lack of heat and was able to "fit me in" and make an early morning appointment for me the next day. I was happy to meet Francisco, who was punctual, professional, courteous friendly, and honest -- just an all-around, trust-worthy, nice guy. At the end of the service call, Francisco explained to me the details of the "Comfort Client" service that R. H. Young offers. Personally, for me, it would make sense to use this service.... I was very appreciative of the time Francisco politely spent with me to answer all of my questions. I look forward to doing business with R. H. Young in the future, and, I will definitely request that Francisco be the service repairman that comes back to take care of the cooling and heating in my home.
Paul is an excellent tech and explained all the issues carefully. Very clean and right on time. I trust these guys with my HVAC system and highly recommend them!
I was not happy with my out come. I got charged 159.00 on an issue that was warranty issue was told they dont have the part would have to pay expidited shipping fee if they find it almost 2 k in labor to install it..and no one has called me back since. The serive man was nice and he tried to help
Friendly, thorough, on time and very easy to deal with. I received a text 1/2 hr to an hour before they showed up to let me know they were on their way. Repair was professional and thorough. Good technicians and reliable companies are hard to find. Paul is a Excellent and trustworthy mechanic. I’m confident in going forward with R.H Young for any work needed in the future.
Very bad tempered agent picking up the phone. The whole process is rude, aggressive, very unprofessional, and it is extremely difficult to coordinate time because of their bad temper. Agreed on appointment in two weeks, then all of sudden contacted me a spot freed up. When I was asking is this another company, the agent acting extremely inpatient and made the conversation difficult to go on. Cancelled the appointment because they were 1 hour late for the appointment. So in reality the technician showed up (if they actually did, which I doubt) after I cancelled the appointment. I did not have my AC fixed, so you can tell from their reply that once again they are irresponsible with their communication. Regardless of their AC service, the communication just showed how they tend to treat customers when things didn't go their way.
My service was a Ripped off, plain and simple. I was not provided an estimate. I was told how much I would be paying for first hour and then the hour after that. Only a capacitor and some cables were replaced, and they charged $954. When I objected he said he can go and rip the wire and the capacitor off, and I still will be paying for time. I felt I was being rubbed. Not to mention these people were here 1.5 months before and charged me $250 then, for the same thing, which I thought was reasonable and I was happy with. But they got me this time. I talked to the office, Nancy raised her voice at me and said she has high cost, and repeated that she would have him take all the parts out, if I don't pay up right then. I am not exaggerating. I felt I was being rubbed and was scared. This was the worse service I have ever experienced.
I had a new gas furnace installed. While there were multiple “positives” during the process, there were some “negatives” and overall I’m disappointed with the final product. The “positives”: - Responsive to my initial request for an estimate for new furnace. - Technician installer Matt both professional, polite, and competent with furnace installation The “negatives” - After providing my $1400 down payment in May, I was told my installation would happen in fall after the summer was focused on providing air conditioning over the summer. While I agree with the logic, four months seems like a long time to hold the deposit.
- The installation did not include a full solution. While the unit was installed in the basement and connected to existing duct work, the exhaust flue on the roof is in terrible condition (rusted, holes in duct and end cap, many cracks at base and likely no longer connected to existing duct work below roof). I thought RHYoung was providing a complete solution…but they didn’t. Admittedly the repair of the exhaust flue was not called out in the proposal, but the proposal was at a high level and I thought a complete solution was being provided.
I was told that RHYoung installers did not go on roofs and that I should contact chimney companies to do the flue duct and end cap work. (I’ve contacted three chimney companies; one said they didn’t do that work, one gave an estimate of $1400, and the other said $4000!!!) for a four foot high exhaust??? Still working to find a company that will finish the work on this project. I am concerned that the poor exhaust system will allow CO to go in the house.
RH Young is a pleasure to work with. I never have issues and their service levels are top notch. They always come through and every tech I’ve had working at my home has been great.

They try to solve the problem for the best result, rather than just the way to make the most money. Professional, friendly and helpful!
