We have been using Boucher for over a decade for installing heating and air conditioning systems. The work they do is very professional, especially the appearance of the equipment. In addition, they perform maintennance on these systems which keeps them working well.

One of our complete heat pump systems was replaced. This included the outdoor condensing unit, outdoor concrete pad, indoor air handler, backup electric heater kit for the attic and new thermostat.
All work was done efficiently and with attention to details of cleanliness, and with a thorough explanation of the operation of the new system. All protocols regarding the Covid-19 pandemic were followed.
The performance of the recommended system has been excellent, exceeding our expectations.

My air source heat pump installation by Boucher Energy Systems was done very well. Joel Boucher did the analysis in September and came up with a design for 3 mini-splits: 2 in bedrooms upstairs and one in the cellar room that needs heating and drying -- 27,000 BTUs total. I also got the energy audit from MassSave and the HEAT Loan from Clinton Savings Bank. The Mitsubishi compressor outside is quiet – you can only tell it’s running by the rustling of the leaves. The inside units are also remarkably quiet. They are augmenting my regular oil-based heating system.

The installation crew was amazing. I don’t think I’ve seen any crew quite like them. All of them seemed to be trained on energy saving methods and thermodynamics! They worked well together, were clean and organized, knew what they were doing, and answered my many questions. It took them about 6 hours. They figured out a route into the cellar room by going through an interior brick wall, avoiding drilling through 8” of concrete.

Boucher also handles all the applications for rebates and discounts for the Massachusetts HeatSmart Program. This system will be paying off both for my family and the community, in energy savings and less carbon emissions, for years to come. I highly recommend Boucher Energy Systems.

Boucher just recently installed two new air handler units in our attic, as well as two heat pump condenser units. The guys battled through the first day on the job despite 15” of snow that morning. They came back the next day to install the second handler, and then came back this week after a bit of a thaw to get the condensers set and hooked up.

Each crew was absolutely professional, clean and curteous. They were down to earth and respected the house, the kids and the dog (when they were around). Really friendly crews. Joel Boucher and the team in the office were also excellent during the initial consulting and quoting phase, as well as walking us through the MassSave Heat Loan process. I’d recommend Boucher 10 out of 10 times.
