Terran was prompt and appreciated that I told him my observations about my HVAC system and circumstances. He kept me in the loop about everything he was checking in the system. Very through and personable. Would use your company again and recommend it to anyone else.
Our HVAC stopped working just as summer arrived. We booked another company who was recommended by a neighbor but they were awful and didn't fix anything. I did a lot more research and chose SuperTech HVAC Services to take a look.
When I called they answered right away and I made an appointment. They were very transparent about their prices and call out fees which was appreciated.
On the day out our appointment I received a text message and and email about the technician who was on the way. There was even a photo so I knew when the person arrived I knew who to expect.
Josh the technician was very professional. He listened to me and took the time to figure out what was wrong before doing any work. While working he explained everything he was doing and even gave lots of tips for things I can do to keep my system healthy.
The fix solved one issue, but the unit stopped working again a few days later. I called SuperTech HVAC Services back and they sent Josh back. He worked hard testing everything and diagnosed a leak in our Freon line which wasn't visible until the first issue was fixed. Josh suggested two possible fixes, one that was cheaper but might not work, and one that was more expensive but would defiantly work.
I never felt pressured to purchase the more expensive option and I opted to take a risk and go the cheaper one. We're waiting a week for the results to know if it worked but everything's been working great so far!
SuperTech HVAC Services has been a great company and Josh has been a fantastic technician who really knows his stuff. We signed up to their Gold Membership to make sure our system is protected in the future!
I did lots of research before choosing this company to buy service contracts on my air conditioning unit and my second floor HVAC unit. Their costs were reasonable for the service contracts, they got a ton of great reviews, and they seemed professional. I should have realized after the first couple of routine service checks in Spring and Fall that the lower relative price of the service contracts were subsidizing the constant stream of "recommendations," some of them very costly, for things that I've either never heard of or did not need. They did a great job of "selling" me, since I'm not very knowledgeable about these items. Finally, I called them to come fix the HVAC air conditioner that they had just been out to check on the previous month (and passed with flying colors). I was told I had to either pay about $5,000 to fix it or, better, $12,000 to replace it. The unit was from a reputable manufacturer and only 7 years old. I paid $4,000 at that time for the entire unit, including installation. They never once offered to look into whether or not the unit was still covered under warranty (it was), and only insisted that the unit was low quality and not worth replacing. I quickly located another company, First Class Mechanical, who came out, informed me what was wrong, told me the part was under warranty, and fixed it within 5 days. When my service contracts expire with Super Tech, I will not be renewing.
SuperTech has taken care of our HVAC systems and are very reliable. They’re always total pros and I found them because they are Bryant / Carrier certified and also Nest certified which I appreciate after messing up the installation myself. Highly recommend!!
Steven was great at getting us an immediate repair in short term and then discussing long term options for our older system. Never felt too salesy or pushy and was incredibly respectful of our home.
My heat pump outdoor unit would stop after running for hours even when the temperature is around 40. I called Supertech and they sent Josh. He claimed that the freon level was low and charged it. The cost was close to $800 for 2 lbs. of freon R410 plus diagnosis and a tube of autoseal. But the problem was not solved. A couple of days later, Josh came back to take another look. He decided to charge a few more oz of freon but still didn't know what was going on with my heat pump. Then Supertech sent their owner Steven Zheng. He came to diagnose the issue, didn't fix it, but used this opportunity to give me estimates for new systems. So that is $1,000 down the drain. If they could not solve the issue, if they didn't believe that charging freon would fix it even temporarily, why would they recommend a $800 "repair"?
If I could give this company more stars, I would. We called to have our boiler looked at and replaced after our CO alarms went off. Steven came out same day, first thing in the morning actually! We received an email and phone confirmation with his picture and biography so we knew who would be at our home. I cannot speak highly enough about Steven. He treated us like family, took his time, explained everything to my husband and me. The first evaluation was to actually replace the boiler. After his evaluation, he determined that we did not need one and his visit was free! Our alarms went off again several days later. Steven, again, came right away. He found a solution and for reassurance, said if this doesn’t work, the cost will go towards a new boiler. He was very reassuring and comforting. He tested the boiler multiple times before leaving so I felt safe staying in our home. So far so good! Even if we need a new boiler, he will be the one we call. Don’t anyone else… call Super Tech!
Steven was quite thorough and informative. He explained in detail how my system could be maintained and improved, and included different options. He was prompt, considerate, and friendly as well.
