    We had an issue with our 75-gallon gas water heater pilot light. Since the unit was under warranty, we called the 24-hour hotline at 10 pm. A polite, courteous gentleman answered the call and scheduled an inspection for the very next morning. Meanwhile, we called our salesman Edward (who is great) and explained the problem to him. Within minutes, he got in touch with his manager, John, who dispatched a supervisor, Bruce, to do further diagnostic testing. His technicians, Mike and his helper, Ben, were sent the next day to fix the unit. The problem was taken care of and we had hot water the same day. During the whole process, the entire staff was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. In this day and age, when it is hard to get good service, it is extremely gratifying to have a satisfactory outcome to a serious problem. They stood behind the warranty that came with the unit. We highly recommend BGE Constellation.

    My Dad (RIP) used this company for many years to service and keep our HVAC running smoothly. Now I continue to use them. Not only for HVAC but plumbing as well. In 2020 they have replaced my sewer line (get the water & sewer line insurance because it's most likely NOT covered in your home owners insurance) & water heater.

    For the sewer line replacement they used a technique that didn't involve digging a trench in my yard. Two holes dug and pulled the new pipe through the existing path. No more flooding in my basement floor drain.

    My home was built in the 60's so there's old things that are difficult to match up with new equipment. My previous water heater was installed back in 1995. 1995! It finally started leaking in 2020. BGE Home to the rescue. It's wasn't just a simple replacement as the venting ducts for my gas water heater has to be updated to code. I'm so glad I decided not to take on that project myself. The technician has some difficulty but got it done correctly. All the extras that where needed for the install came at no extra charge since I have a plumbing contact.

    Service has always been speedy. I'll say they aren't the cheapest in town but I'm willing to pay for great quality.

    We had 3 service calls for the same issue, each technician said the wrong part was ordered. The 4th tech Richie did take the old mother off the stove and try the new board and found out it was the correct board...Richie did attempt to troubleshoot by calling the service dept and ended up not needing them. Technician Richie deserves 5Star...Richie went above and beyond his job by attempting to call the service dept. Thank you Richie

    The replacement of hot water heater gas. I feel as I reviewed my bill again I got robbed. I paid double the price of the gas hot water heater. The plumber that reviewed the work said it was entirely too high that I paid. I don't think I will do business again with Constellation formerly BGE.

    I have had a leak in my kitchen sink and bathroom and my HVAC go out. Each time Constellation(BGE) Home was not able to send a technician out for 3 weeks. I have been a loyal customer for 6 years and paying $74 a month for horrible service. For all 3 issues, I had to find alternative means, to get the problems resolved. I used Thumbtack to resolve the 3 instances and have had technicians out either the same day or very next day.

    At this point I just want to cancel my service, and that has become a task also. Every time I call to cancel service, I get put on hold and transferred to another department that is either closed, or too busy to answer. When I did get a hold of someone, I was transferred to another agent, who wasn't available and then hung up on.

    TL; DR
    Constellation(BGE) Home has horrible service and is impossible to cancel. Use Thumbtack to resolve the issue. I will update with how I finally canceled service with Constellation Home.

    Booked my appointment with the company. They were two weeks out but that was OK. Two weeks later the guy calls me in the morning. And says oh by the way we charge for their visits. None of this was ever brought to my attention. Poor business. I live in the world of free estimates and for a first time caller that’s exactly what you should get. Never using again don’t recommend.

    I have tried for 2 months to get signed up but no one will respond in any way. They just don't want my business.

    I talked to someone 2 months ago promising me follow-up but nothing. Can't you check your system for my name? I don't want to provide personal information online. There has to be a better way to exchange information. It is your company - who do I contact?

    We have to complain about the sales team. We signed a contract on the HVAC and water heater a couple of years ago and renewed annually since then since we feel comfortable to have a trustful service team until last Thursday. No one ever told us the policy we have with them covers one unit since we told them we had 2 units from the very beginning and their service team came to work on both units previously. Recently we were told we have to buy an addons to cover the second unit. When I called the sales department as required but was told I can't do so until I pay $155 to have the inspection done but not guaranteed to get signup. They tried to have me pay for the mistake they made. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard .

    Since changing companies name I am not able to make an appointment.on hold for several hours for several days. Very frustrating.
    A representative reached out to me to address my concerns. She was polite,, professional and most of all she addressed my needs promptly. The technician that came out satisfied my service needs satisfactory. Thank you constellation Home for engaging, and tending to my service needs.

    I have a service plan, and rarely get a monthly statement have to call all the time. It was definitely better when BGE was directly involved.
