Kitchen sink faucet hose busted. Was told I would have to replace whole Faucet unit. Without purchasing new Faucet from them - I would pay $393.00 for the installation. Also - Bathroom tub faucet leaking. Was told I would have to replace whole unit for 1 failed cartridge in the amount of $790.00 with full replacement of entire shower fixtures. Luckily - All of my fixtures were Moen. Contacted Moen and they sent replacement kitchen sink hose and Bathroom tub cartridges free of charge. Cancelled my appt with Michael & Son. Used another reputable Plumbing Service.
I was able to get an appt within 24 hours. Adam White provided the service. He could not have been better. Great explanations and suggestions. Complete instructions after the repairs were made. And even nice to my dog! Who can ask for anything more?
Well, confusion on charge. Was told $69.00 for service fee. If costs more, $69.00 would be deducted. Gentleman, very professional did a trouble shoot and mentioned that it would cost $266.00. That's literally insane. To top it off, the problem was the GFI plug which was to be an added $391.00. I have never in all my years paid that kind of money for an electrical issue. I opted to do plug myself but, still had to pay $266.00 which is an outrage. Unfortunately, will never use service again.
Michael & Sons scheduled and appointment, then couldn't honor the appointment. On the follow up, the technician was very communicative about his arrival and conducted himself in a very professional manner. The quoted price was absurdly high. Would not recommend.

Our tankless hot water heater stopped working. The 1st two companies we called wanted to replace the water heater for nearly $10k. Michael & Sons came out and diagnosed the problem and gave us 3 options. Since we are on well water and didn't have a filtration system they recommended a filter and water system set up and a hot water heater replacement due to the damage caused by sediment that was in our water. The water filter, softener, tankless hot water heater replacement and installation was less than the other two companies quoted just to replace the water heater. They installlwd the next day. No delay in getting parts or scheduling. The technician was very knowledgeable, very honest and not pushing their services. Highly recommend the company and the technician.
I had a leak to my ceiling in the living room coming from the shower. I was charged $70 for them to say it was the seal to the tub and they can't fix it. They refused to open the ceiling to confirm it wasn't a pipe. Had a different plumber out the following day. There's leaks in 3 spots of the pipe. So I paid $70 for what? Because nothing was diagnosed nor done.
This was my first time with Michael and sons. I was very satisfied with the service , the technician was right on time and was to fix the issue right away. I also liked the update on the time they were coming too.
I was so happy that a technician could come out on a Saturday on such short notice. Andy explained everything clearly, letting me know that my electrical issue was a problem for BGE to fix and that the equipment in my house was fine.
