If you are ever looking for a good a/c company, i highly recommend going elsewhere if you want good customer service. Was told i needed to replace my inside coil in my a/c. Waited a month during the summer with no air for them to get my coil. After not getting an email response from in on an update i decided to go with another company. After having my inside unit replaced within a week found out the outside part had a hole in it too and that is why it would not hold freon. Apparently Derics knew for over a year there was a hole in the outside unit but never informed me. Then lie and say that they had a conversation about it before. Pretty sure that is something i would remember. So now i have to pay labor and cost of freon AGAIN to have someone come to replace the outside part which is still under warranty. They were not willing to make things right by doing it free of labor!!
I had technicians from Deric's come to my house towards the end of April to remedy the weird backflow of water I had in my attic unit (water was dripping out of my return vent in the ceiling).
I put in a call, they were quick to reach out to me, and said they could get a technician there the next day for an extra fee (because it was Good Friday). I asked that they wait until Monday; i figured I could go a few days without AC and save some money. Friday morning, I receive a call from a technician that he is on his way. Despite having noted I would rather wait until Monday, the man was already en route. This was either a miscommunication with their scheduler, or an outright lack of consideration for my preferences as a client. Either way, fast response, one star earned. I told the technician to go ahead and complete the service call.
So, tech one comes along, executes superficial "remedy", leaves, and bills me $163. Drip returns within a week. I call, they send a different tech, he identifies a different solution, orders a part. A week later the part comes in, the tech returns, but says he can't execute the change because someone glued my pipes. They send a third tech in for the fourth visit, he says the drain line needs to be cleared, no big deal. The dripping finally stopped, I asked for an itemized bill to outline each of the visits, prepared for a billing fight. They ultimately only billed me for the first visit, but could never provide a comprehensive listing of what had actually been done at my house, which technician provided which services, etc.
Then about three weeks after my last visit from a technician, I opened my cabinet to see water dripping down the walls. Logic would say that the last technician that came and cleared my drain line with a shopvac broke my pipe, and it had been leaking into my ceiling, waiting around to become saturated enough to break. Now, after waiting around for multiple technician visits and never being totally pleased with the outcome, I've had to call in a plumber, miss more work time, and be out the additional money for not only the repair of the pipe, but also the repair of my saturated dry wall.
Deric's Heating & Air has been taking care of the units at my business for nearly 3 years now. I have never had a negative experience. They always answer the phone and are able to respond to any issue within 24 hours. Their prices are fair and their work is thorough! I highly recommend!
They’re great. We’ve been using them for 6 years and on 3 different properties and both heating and cooling. They are always polite and knowledgeable. Receptionist is super nice too, and they are honest and less expensive than some of the big Baton Rouge companies. We were told by 2 companies that the house we renovated needed everything new to the tune of 8,000 dollars. Deric’s didn’t feel the same way and only replaced what was necessary saving us thousands. AC is still going strong here 6 years later. I recommend Deric’s to all friends and family and they have all been pleased as well.
We have used Deric’s Heating and Air for around ten years. The technicians are very honest, and don’t try to charge for more work than actually needs to be done. The very few times we had a follow-up issue after a repair, the technicians came out quickly and took care of it without charging us an extra fee. They not only know what they’re doing, but their honesty is what impresses me the most. I have in the past dealt with some very dishonest a/c companies who overcharged me or tried to tell me we had a/c problems that never existed (not naming names - *A-1 A/C). You will receive a fair price from Deric’s and professional work.

They came out the same day to fix our AC at one of our rent houses and both we and tenants were grateful. I used to dread every time I would receive the bill when we used another company prior to working with Deric's. I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonable Deric's was on their pricing and their willingness to work with me on such short notice.
All in all, I only trust Deric's to do my AC repairs!!!!

Deric's replaced my old A/C unit with a brand new Ruud 17 Seer high efficiency unit and me and my family are extremely pleased with it. They were very professional throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs service or installation. The new A/C unit has dropped my electric bill by $90 a month so far. So it basically pays for itself. It feels much cooler in my house and I can barely hear it running. One of the best decisions I have ever made as a homeowner.
These guys are simply amazing! They completely replaced the air conditioner in one of my rent houses last year. This past week while having the roof on my home replaced, a nail shot through the refrigerant line rendering the AC useless. I called Deric's at 9:15 on a Friday morning and John was in my attic 30 minutes later. The guys readjusted their day to make sure the unit was cooling in time for the weekend. They are without a doubt the first number we will call anytime our residence or any rental properties need HVAC maintenance or repair.
