Tom Drexler Plumbing, Air & Electric

My rating is based on the professionalism demonstrated by the on-site technician, James Daniels. He was courteous, thorough and capable. He did an excellent job of explaining what our options were. As a result, we will certainly include Tom Drexler HVAC in any repair/replacement plans moving forward.

I was told by a Tom Drexler service representative on 6/24/23 that I needed repairs to my current furnace and air conditioning that would total $2,990 if performed by Tom Drexler. I was shown photos of burned components and advised that excessive heat stress, the result of arching and/or chattering, was a concern. So was a failed capacitor, overamping compressor, excessive shaft play and motor oil leaks. With the age of my units (furnace – 17 years; air – 16 years), I was advised that replacing the systems, at a cost of $11,000 to $22,000 was a good idea and what my representative would do if it were his own situation.
With such high stakes, I called another company recommended by friends for a second opinion, which was provided on 7/3/23. I did not reveal the company that had advised me first, but said I wanted to see if their recommendations would match the first company’s. The service representatives (one was in training) – who do not work on commission did an inspection and FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH EITHER THE FURNACE OR THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. I showed them the print outs from Tom Dexler of my “issues,” and they addressed them one by one – disagreeing with ALL of them and explaining their reasoning.
Beware, people.

Very professional, extremely educated in plumbing. I was very impressed with Jonathan. He is a wonderful asset to Tom Drexler, I hope in the future if I need a plumber It will be him.

Anthony King was prompt, professional, courteous, personable, and knowledgeable. He was generous enough to share with me what he was doing each step of his process so I could understand how my system was functioning, and/or what needed to be addressed. He explained their services and costs, but did not pressure me to decide on the spot (which I appreciated). I will ask for Anthony when I need Drexler HVAC services.

I am so glad that I called Tom Drexler to fix my clogged pipe problem. Devin was on time, efficient and explained everything he was going to be doing before he started. As I watched, everything played out as he said it would. My washer drains like it should, all the sludge is gone and I am super grateful for his knowledge, experience and professionalism. I will definitely recommend Tom Drexler to anyone needing help and if I ever need help like this again, I'll be calling back making an appointment.

The plumber Devan Bennett that showed up was very knowledgeable and informative, he had me up and working in no time. He did an awesome job and was very careful and clean . I will definitely request this young man's services in the future! Awesome job and thank you very much . I would definitely recommend Tom's Drexler services to anybody .

Great work, was very attentive and listened to all my concerns and was very informative with his response to my questions. Very nice and did great work.

Technician said the capacitor of the ac condenser unit was bad so I paid nearly $500 to get it replaced (It's kind of ridiculous how much they charge for labor for a simple capacitor replacement). Regardless, after it got replaced, the condenser unit still didn't work!

He then came back the next day and said the compressor unit within the ac condenser is also bad, and it will cost around $2000 for labor ONLY!

Imagine if I paid to get the compressor replaced and he comes back saying that's not the problem and something else is also bad. At that point, I might as well replace the entire ac condenser unit and would've wasted all the money that went into fixing each components!

I ended up calling a different HVAC company and got the entire outdoor ac condenser replaced for way cheaper than if these guys were to do it.

If they would've told me the compressor is also bad during the examination, I would've not wasted that $500 for nothing!

I would NOT recommend these guys if you're trying to save your hard earned money! And DON'T trust the high star rating!!
