When I called for a quote I was assisted by Elizabeth who was so pleasant to talk to and very thorough with all the information. They were very up front with pricing. I was quoted a discounted price that was going on when I first called, and when I confirmed that I wanted to use their services at a later date they honored the quoted price even though the sale had ended. I paid the price I was quoted at the beginning and they never tried to tack on any extra fees. They also called me when an opening came available to see if I would like to move my appointment up to an earlier date. The techs were very professional. I’m very pleased with their work and my experience with Jarboe’s.

I’ve tried other plumbing companies – both small local plumbers and other big-name companies but I continue to end up needing to turn to Jarboes to actually do the job right. I have learned my lesson and I will call Jarboe’s right from the start for our plumbing needs. They are quick to get a plumber out, the technician gives you a courtesy call ahead of time to let you know they’re on their way, they show up on time, and they’re always very friendly and professional. We have white carpet in the basement and I really appreciated that the technician put on shoe covers without being asked every time he came into the house. He was thorough in finding the problem and gave options for repairs. I also really like that they take pictures of the job during the process of the repair so you know exactly what they did. Pricing is fair and they leave the job site clean and neat when the work is done. Great company.

I was pleasantly surprised to have emails and texts reminding me of my appointment. Then 30 minutes beforehand I received a call from my technician that he was on his way. I also received a text with his picture on it and a short bio about him. This was over-the-top wonderful!
When he arrived he was polite and courteous and explained everything he was going to do and did. The job was done and everything was put back together. I would use Jarboe’s again in a heartbeat.

When deciding who to use as a plumber, use someone else. Poor customer relations, inexperienced staff, and it’ll end up costing you more in the long run in terms of both cash and mental energy. The guy they sent was very nice, but that doesn’t make up for inexperience. It’s a no for me. If you have to use them then use them, but you’ll likely regret it.

If I were to base my review solely on the technicians who worked on my home, I would give a five-star rating without hesitation. Byron, the plumber, was exceptional—phenomenal, professional, and personable. Seth, the expert handling the uninstallation and installation of the new boiler, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also one of the nicest individuals you will ever encounter. Every technician involved in the project was amazing. However, my dissatisfaction lies with the salesmen. In my experience, they created some awkwardness and discomfort throughout the process, which didn't sit well with me. While I acknowledge their knowledge, I wish they presented themselves with less of a sales-oriented approach, particularly given the substantial financial investment required.

There were two specific incidents that left me dissatisfied. One of the technicians identified an issue and replaced the fill valve in my toilet due to debris stuck in the pipe after cutting into the old one. Consequently, the toilet was functioning fine as Byron had replaced the fill valve. However, we still experienced blockages in the sink valve and tub valve. The salesman, after supposedly assessing the problem, claimed we needed new valves for both the sink and tub, along with a NEW toilet valve. It was evident that he hadn't inspected the toilet because, had he done so, he would have realized that his technician had just replaced it the previous day, and it was brand new.

The second issue requires some context. While we had been dealing with a plumbing salesman for a plumbing fix, a few months ago, I had spoken to another salesman from a different department regarding the replacement of our boiler. He provided me with a quote, but I hadn't made a decision at that time. When we eventually decided to move forward with the boiler replacement, I reached out to the original salesman and arranged the service. However, I received an odd phone call from a different salesman who started asking me about the details of who set up the meeting and who discussed the boiler with me. It was clear that his concern revolved around commission allocation, and this interaction left me with a negative impression.

In all honesty, my technicians possessed the same level of knowledge as the salesmen, so I would have preferred a scenario where they would initially visit, discuss the work, and handle everything directly. Quoting and other sales-related matters could take place in the back office, ensuring that the customers wouldn't be exposed to what felt like a pushy car salesman mentality. Apart from these two issues, I would consider using Jarboes again. However, moving forward, I will be more upfront and honest with them about my feelings, as I did not appreciate the overall process feeling like I was purchasing a used car.

System beyond repair. Joe responded quickly when called. Could have sold me a more expensive unit, but said I didn't need it. That counts a lot with me. That's why I went with Jarboe. Guys replacing whole system were very cordial. Was here pretty much all day. Difficult job. Cleaned up after themselves.
