Northern Tool + Equipment

While I like northern tool, the retail store here in Wichita has some learning to do. Their jobs quite literally hang in the balance. If my shopping experience online is better, and easier, then a retail location is obsolete. I shop local retail for CUSTOMER SERVICE. For the idea that they might bend over backwards to make something right. If this isn't the case their store will dry up and blow away like so much other brick and mortar. I hope they figure this out before it's too late. Summary- they pissed me off

Bought extended warrenty and the product didnt function right of box.. had to fight for a refund even though the product was faulty. Wasn't even given full refund. Manager was very rude and condescending. I wont ever return.

Guy asks if he can help us find anything. I tell him I'm looking for angle finder (protractor). He said they don't sell them. Second guy showed me where they might be. I see it hanging on display and tell him this is exactly what I'm looking for. He replied "No that's not it because it doesn't have the slidey thing." I picked it up and said thanks for your help.

Ridiculous customer service regarding parts and repair department. Took nearly a calendar month to replace carburetor that was janky out of the box. Sure i purchased extended platinum warranty and wasn't charged for the repair. When I spoke with the warranty company they also extended replacement for the broken trigger on the unit that somehow cracked and splintered. Do ya think in the month the clowns at NT had my pole saw that they might have also been sure to send it out the door fully operable? Hell No they didn't. Junk merchandise, junk customer service, junk warranty service. Harbor Freight gottem beat in every aspect and their a last option store IMO. Middle Fingers to Northern Tool, cause I can.

We were looking for a 15w generator. They found one for us in OKC and we're heading there now!
They were very helpful and very professional.

Items that I wanted and drove two hours to purchase was not in-stock. Also I got the feeling that the people there really didn't care.

Nice clean place. Has a lot to choose from. Went to look at pressure washer, to compare. They had a lot to choose from. Will make purchase at later date, just comparing for now.

Clean store and friendly help. Good selection.

I was talking to an employee about a garage heater when his phone started ringing to my shock he answered and started talking about doing work for someone and stayed on the phone atleast 5 minutes i stood there patiently while he paced the floor and talked . He hung up the phone and a customer walked up asked him a question and he left me standing there !!!!! Customer service at its finest 👌

Great place to get tools that my husband can use! Prices are great and customer service is exceptional!!
