City Wide Heating and Cooling

City Wide replaced Our complete heating and cooling system. Did a fantastic job, always prompt, friendly, and considerate of our home! So knowledgeable and easy to work with!! Can’t say enough good things!!

I just used City Wide Heating & Cooling for the first time. The repair I requested was done very quickly and they did a very quality job. The tech. that performed the repair was very friendly and answered all my questions. I would recommend City Wide to anyone looking for quality work done right at a fair price.

We live in a thirty year old house. After living for the last twelve years with a slipshod, sloppy (and inefficient) replacement heating and air system, it was no surprise when it shot craps. I had, at the time, received a bid for a similar price from City Wide, but opted instead to use a company a friend had started working for. HUGE mistake. I had worked professionally with City Wide many times in the past, always had superb results, but for the sake of a friend, made a huge mistake. This time, I chose WISELY, and made the decision to work with City Wide, even though their proposal was a little higher than another well-known name HVAC contractor.

First, Doug Duvall visited us, arrived on time, and made a careful evaluation of our home, the existing system, and gave us a proposal, explaining exactly what needed to be done. He was, as he always has been, neat, polite, and listened carefully to our concerns. As well, he proposed making several changes to the way the duct work was setup, explaining that we needed a way to better balance the upstairs area with the downstairs area. His written proposal was comprehensive and easy to understand.

After we signed, we selected the time we wanted to begin work (of course, ASAP). And bright and early, on the day promised, City Wide's best installer, George, showed up and began work. (I had worked professionally with George in years past, and I have never seen anyone do a more precise, neat, and professional job - and this time, for my own house, it was nothing different) George went to work, removed all the old equipment, and installed the new units, modified the duct work as specified, and explained to my wife exactly what he was doing, and how things should work properly. George was simply amazing. Kept things clean, didn't trample the flowers, and just did a superb install. His expertise and professional demeanor made my wife feel completely comfortable and confident, at all times.

Now, several weeks after the install, in the middle of HOT, humid, July, our house is cooler and dryer than it has been in the 30 years we have owned it, and for the first time ever, my daughter's upstairs room is actually cool, because of the modifications suggested by Doug and performed by George. The install is precise and a work of art, we have better filtration, and we couldn't be happier. Great work, Doug and George!

Got an HVAC problem? Forget those bids that might be low-balled, and simply go with these guys - none better.

I have been without A/C since 06/06. I have four little kids, and we are not having much fun! I needed a second opinion on an a/c repair and a friend recommended City Wide. When I called yesterday (06/10,) the receptionist said they could get me in today (06/11.) I said, "That would be great. I have someone coming out Friday afternoon (6/12,) but if you can come sooner, I would really appreciate it." She said, "If you have someone coming on Friday, I recommend you stick with them." My understanding was that they were quite busy, but I was not thrilled to have them rescind their Thursday offer. I half heatedly agreed to forgo an appt with them a day sooner, but as I'm suffering through today's heat and realizing we have tomorrow still too, I'm quiet disappointed by their service. How incredibly odd to turn away business even if you're busy! I will not use City Wide, and certainly would not recommend them based on this experience.

City Wide Heating & Cooling are the best the city. They are courteous outstanding professionals that did an amazing job for us when we needed a new air conditioning unit. My friends and family will never go anywhere else for heating and cooling. THE BEST. Doug B.

I have used City Wide for both A/C and furnace service and installation of a new furnace. Their attention to detail and service are amazing! Most heating and cooling issue situations are uncomfortable at best and City Wide makes a bad situation as good as it can be!

City Wide came to the rescue when our furnace stopped heating today (it's 20° outside). The technician was prompt, courteous and completed the repair in under and hour. Couldn't be more impressed with City Wide and will be using them again in the future.

Thank you, Chris Duvall, for explaining immediately the HVAC problem was a warranted item fixable by a service call Fee. The other large company I had a contract with failed to mention that on discovery of the problem. It was mentioned in a submitted bid the next day with add-ons and bid for new HVAC system. This caused unnecessary distress on my part. I will be calling you for my next Appointment.

Ken has been coming to our home for many years now, always polite, courteous, professional, does a great job. We really appreciate him. We think he is great! Thank you.

My wife and I had 4 different HVAC companies out to our house and all of them said we should spend $5,000-$15,000 on a brand new total unit. The issue was that a cracked pan in the A/C unit was the reason for our problems. Chris at City Wide explained that the plastic pans don't typically crack. Chris found the real cause of the problem - a small white piece that needed to be tightened. Everyone else was trying to sell us something and Chris was trying to solve our problem.

We will need a new unit at some point and we'll call City Wide Heating and Cooling when we do.
