In the middle of January my furnace went out. Unfortunately for me, I have combo unit with my AC outside. I scheduled my service through American Home Shield and they assigned me Everyday Heating and Cooling. Quickly, Mark deduced that my furnace was unrepairable, and recommended AHS replace the package unit. It took a bit longer than 2 weeks for the unit to arrive. They installed it on a Saturday, and it took them from about 8 am to noon. He kept me updated on the progress, and I'm happy with the install. A month after the install, I went to turn on the air conditioner, and it wasn't working properly- quickly turning off and on for a couple minutes and then just gave up. I contacted Everyday, they saved a timeslot for me, but said to put the claim in with AHS (which didn't cost anything). They came out 2 days later, figured out what the problem was, fixed it, and my AC works. Thank you for the good service, I appreciate it. 100% recommend.

AHS referred me to Everyday Heating and Cooling when I was told by another contractor that I had two cracks in my heater core. They were prompt, professional and using better camera technology were able to prove to me that there were no cracks in our furnace and that it was safe to use. I highly recommend them. He even offered to meet an inspector if they needed to or had any questions. He documented the service very well and took pictures.

I'm very happy with the service they provided and will call again for any other needs.

The technician was sent to my house by American Home Shield to diagnose and issue with my AC. After the diagnosis, the technician unplugged my AC in the attic and turned on the fan. I was not able to turn on the AC or turn off the fan with the switch on the thermostat. After he left, water was leaking from the ceiling. I had another company come a day later to give a second opinion. They stated that a pipe had been broken and could not turn on the AC, so they were unable to provide a diagnosis. AHS contacted the first technician about the broken pipe, and he denied breaking it. There were several phone calls made between AHS, the technician, and myself and the problem was not resolved. AHS suggested I call the company directly myself. I spoke with office staff and the technician. Both were uncooperative and unprofessional. The technician still denied breaking the pipe. I explained that I never had water leak from the ceiling prior to his arrival, there was no water damage on the ceiling, and the pipe had a clean break. It was obviously broken while he was at my home. The technician was very unprofessional and was yelling over the phone. The office staff told me he would return and turn the AC back on and fix the fan so I could control it with the switch. However, I was told that he would not fix the broken pipe. I told the office staff I was not comfortable with the same technician coming back and asked for someone different. I felt that this technician is very unprofessional and was trying to intimidate me. I was told that he was the one coming, or I could call another company to do it. As of now, the same technician will be returning to plug in the AC in the attic and reconnect the fan so I can control it with the switch, but he refuses to replace the broken pipe. I do not recommend this company.

Mark worked diligently to find the issues with our HVAC system & made several trips due to parts issues with the warranty company. He was intent on getting our heat back on to ensure my elderly mother was comfortable. Our calls were answered promptly and he and Jana went above & beyond to provide what we needed.

We have called them multiple times and left multiple messages. Our home warranty service has attempted to reach them unsuccessfully, too. Our calls have not been returned. We have been charged for the service but received no response from them.

Everyday Heating and Cooling is a fantastic business that goes above and beyond for their customers. I would recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy and hospitable service. They’ve assisted me on multiple occasions and I’ve never had a negative experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My AC unit was not working Mark and his son came out on 6/20 told me that the valve was leaking and I needed refrigerant refilled was charged 140 for that. The next day the AC was back to not working he and his son came back to my home 6/23 he was there for 10 mins told me there was a hole too large to fix and my unit needed replaced. He said he could do it for 4200 because AHS doesn’t cover things they try to get out of their contacts. I told him I would talk to AHS to see what my next step was. Took him 4 business days to put his diagnosis to AHS for me to be able to see what I needed to do to get my AC replaced his diagnosis was that the fins where compromised by a person or weather and was not considered covered. I decided to get a second opinion with a different contractor through AHS (I have been with out AC in my home almost 3 weeks now) yesterday I had the new contractor here my valve was leaking (never originally fixed) he fixed that filled up my refrigerant (which I didn’t have to pay for) and now my AC is back to working. Everyday Heating and Cooling didn’t fix the job originally and made it out to AHS that the unit needed replaced.

I was told I needed a compressor replaced and that they would order it and come out in a few weeks to replace it. 2-3 weeks later they came out completely unannounced and spam called my phone. Unbeknownst to them I was out of town - hey would have known that had they called before they just showed up.

So I call them when I get back to town, they say they will come out an replace the compressor today (7/6/2020). I answer the door and the guy says nothing is wrong with the unit I just need a new filter. I asked how is it that it just needs a new filter because you’ve been out here twice now to replace the compressor?

Well once I ask that, it becomes my fault that I wasn’t home the first time they tried replacing it (that time they gave me zero notice that they would be coming). They say when the came out that time they checked the unit that time and it didn’t need a compressor. So naturally I asked - why did you schedule this appointment to replace the compressor today (7/6/2020)? He had no legitimate answer for me.

To top things off the guy had an attitude- I’m the customer. Work on your interpersonal skills and get outta bed with American Home Shield. It’s clear that you aren’t doing the work now because my policy is no longer active with them. Way to follow through Everyday Heating and Air!!!

This review was originally a 1 star and amended to 4.

I had a bad experience with this company. Events listed below.

    1. We were scheduled with them through AHS warranty for an AC that wasn't cooling. The appointment we got was "somewhere between 12-5 PM. On a Thursday. What kind of "appointment" is that?

    2. I took a half day off work to be sure I was here for my five hour appointment window. I got to my house at 1150 AM and am writing this review at 530 PM. No one has showed up anywhere in that window and I've lost half a days pay for no reason.

    3. I called the business at 415 pm to see what was going on. I spoke with Alex on the phone. She asks for my name and number, said she'd get in contact with someone to figure out what was going on and call me back.

    4. 45 minutes passes with neither a call from Alex or a technician at my door.

    5. I call back again, this time getting Cassandra. She asked a couple questions, including my name and number. I explain what was going on. She says she's writing all this down, and then the line goes quiet. I wait for a minute or so and ask "hello?" twice. No response, and then the call disconnects.

    6. I call for a third time and get connected to someone who's name I didn't catch. I provided, for the third time, my name and number. I asked to speak with Cassandra, I said we were just on the phone and got disconnected. She said she'd have her get in contact with me and hung up.

    7. A further 20 minutes has passed with no phone calls from any of the three women I spoke to on the phone, nor a technician at my door.

    I cannot recommend this company.

UPDATE: The morning after my first experience, I left for work while my wife had the day off. She texted me at 830 in the morning and said that a technician was there to fix the AC. She, being surprised to see him, explained what happened yesterday. He said he had no idea that we had an appointment for that day, and had he known that we even had that idea, he would have just come. From his comments, it appears there is some issue with how this business interfaces with AHS. My wife said he seemed genuinely upset that this happened, and frustrated that his customers are suffering. He diagnosed our air conditioner, a leaking valve. He replaced the valve and replenished refrigerant, which is only partially covered by AHS. He comped us half of the total quantity of refrigerant needed to compensate for the awful experience the day prior.

Based on the interaction he had with my wife, the fact that he seemed truly unaware of our appointment, and that he tried to make it right, I'm amending my review from 1 star to 4. The reason its not 5 stars is the lack of communication from the business office. Had I received a call back from any one of my three calls i would have given five. I didnt even expect an answer to the question, but just "we messed up and are trying to figure it out, also well send a guy out tomorrow."

I was scheduled appointment with 7 hour window between 1pm-8pm. Currently it’s 9:10pm and nobody in the office can figure out when the technician will arrive. After 3rd call I am still being told we will call you back as soon as possible. I am all about supporting local business but the way this appointment is being handled is not the way to do business. What company can’t find out where the technician is and also not not able to update on late arrival?
This rating is purely based on the 8 hrs of my time wasted by this company today!

**** update 05/30 - updated 1 star to 4 star. They came in today. Still didn’t get any notification prior to arrival but they were friendly and got it up and running. Only thing I would recommend is having a proper expectation of time. I understand it’s busy time but a notification call on Friday 05/28 stating “ we couldn’t make it today but we will make it on Sunday” would have been nice.
