After nearly a week of my landlord searching for a company to repair our central air, I made a call to Brian’s company. They responded quickly and had it fixed within an hour of my call! On top of the quick service, it cost less than they even originally quoted me.

I am very pleased with the quick response and professional service from Mount Vernon Heating & Cooling. Josh arrived on-time and quickly diagnosed a large leak in our system that required repair and recharging of refrigerant. He showed us where the issue was and explained what he would do to get things working properly. We are quite pleased to have our A/C up and running again. Thank you!

I called several companies on a Saturday during a heat wave when our AC stopped working. Brian called me back and arrived at my house within 20 minutes and had the AC fixed and running in no time. On top of that, he charged us regular rate. He has definitely earned our business going forward and all I can say is Thank you Brian. This is the way business should be done!!!!!!!

I've used Mount Vernon Heating and Cooling several times. Initially it was because I was having problems with my home AC unit. It was an old unit and they replaced it in a timely manner. The work was great and the cost was extremely reasonable. Since then, I've worked with Brian several times and even had him replace an AC unit and furnace in one of my rentals. He is always extremely responsive. I've had a couple of 'emergencies' and he's always able to help me out without delay. He is always professional and and his prices are cheaper than other services. I have no reservations about recommending them to friends and family.

I called them to do my annual maintenance on my furnace. I want to be prepared for winter with my old furnace. They arrived a early for the appointment which I just loved! Earlier is always better! I hate waiting on someone. Really good, efficient, friendly, trustworthy people! Reasonable price which I really appreciated. I definitely will be using their service in the future! I am so impressed. They just made my day!

Thanks to Brian, I am able to sit in cool room now. He is very professional that he can pinpoint the root cause very quickly. The AC is only 3 years old. He helps to get warranty for the part although it’s not installed by his company. His schedule is flexible as well. He is able to stop by around 5:30pm. He strives to fix my AC before weekend! Really appreciate the professional service. High recommend if you are having any AC/heating issue.

THE BEST IN TOWN!

This company is HANDS DOWN the best in the Cedar Rapids area (or anywhere!). I had a competitor Master Pumbing, Heating, and Cooling out the day before who told me I needed an entire new system, my fan was shot, capacitor toast, everything was supposedly bad. They charged me $250 and claimed the unit was working, but it was immediately clear that it was not. They tried so hard to FORCE the upsell (they are sales people at the other - not honest people). I did not let Mount Vernon know this - just wanted their opinion. They were in and out of the house in 30 minutes, cooling is working great, says the unit has plenty of life left. Guess what the problem was....the guys from Master Plumbing hooked up the wiring wrong during their supposed "repair"! How is that possible? MOUNT VERNON IS HONEST - the other guys are a scam! I'm in MN and this is a rental property so easy to take advantage with me so far away - this is the most honest guy in town - do not waste your time with anyone else. A++

Brian did a great job checking my furnace to make sure it is ready for the winter. I initially called expecting to wait weeks for service (as with many other heating/cooling companies), but Brian was able to come out within a few days. He did good, efficient work and I am proud to have supported a local small businessman. Thanks, Brian! I'll be calling you again for my future heating and cooling needs!
