Working with Roy Connett was a positive experience. He came to our home and explained what Connett Services could do to improve/replace our HVAC system while saving money each month with more energy efficient systems. The Connett employees were kind, knowledgeable and efficient. The financing provided through Connett was excellent and the process to obtain it was easy to acquire. While other contractors bring bad news about what is broken and outdated with your system Roy will explain how Connett can fix the problem for you! Five stars !

I came to have my AC fixed under a home warranty. The service technician replaced the capacitor, then promptly left before checking that the AC was cooling at all, it wasn't. He didn't even enter my home to check anything. As I write this, the temperature in my home has risen 2 more degrees and still climbing. This is July 3rd, and you guessed it, nobody is working on the 4th. It will be at least another two days before my home is inhabitable. Could have maybe figured it out if he had stayed a few more minutes.

Juan was the technician that helped me. He was very knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. Juan was able to walk me through the steps he was performing which made it easier for me to understand the problems I was having with my HVAC. Also very prompt, they gave me a window so I could take off work and Juan came during that time. Above all, Juan was very courteous throughout the interaction, even when he was working outside in 90F weather.

This is a long read…but VERY important concerning our recent experience with Connett Services (a local Heating / AC / Water Heater company). Bottom line - Their inept staff almost killed my family. A few years ago, our water heater was installed by Connett Services and recently stopped working. We called Connett to look at it. The first tech who came out inspected the unit and felt he had figured out the issues. After he left our home the Carbon Monoxide detector started alerting. We immediately called Connett back out. The 2nd tech inspected and ran the water heater, reset the Carbon Monoxide detector, and said he found NO ISSUES with the water heater. 30 minutes later the detector started alerting again, so we called Connett again. The customer service person told us the tech reported there were NO ISSUES with the water heater and told us we needed to replace the batteries in the detector because that was the issue. After some back and forth they finally agreed to send out a tech again, but we also called the City of Waukee gas department to have them test for Carbon Monoxide. The city immediately picked up unsafe levels of Carbon Monoxide when they tested. Upon further inspection, it turns out the unit had a crack in it and was leaking Carbon Monoxide! If we wouldn’t have pushed for Connett to come back out (a 3rd time!) and simply did as the customer service person from Connett had said, my family could have died!

Not only has Connett clearly lost a potential long-term customer, but I would also hope anyone reading this would reconsider using this company. People are always looking for recommendations for Heating / AC companies. These folks are 100% NOT it! Unfortunately there’s much more to this story but fitting it all into this post is challenging.

Roy took time with me to listen to my experience with another contractor. He gave me choices, which was something lacking in my dealings with the last company. My needs fell right in line with a unit being offered by the factory on a special deal that he shared with me. He didn't have to do that, but he did, and it saved me a lot on one of the premier names in hvac, not a second or third tier brand. The techs that did the install were very nice, knowledgeable, thorough and respectfull of the interior of our home. They even discovered for me that the last contractor had fried my ecobee thermostat. A quick trip to Lowe's while they ate lunch, and I was back in business.....they installed it for me. Thank you, Connett Services for a job well done!

I requested an AC tune-up through my home warranty. The machine is pretty old, but worked fine last year with the exception of not reaching the 2nd floor. I expected they would take a quick peek, make sure it runs, and leave. But Lalo was thorough. My entire house and all its appliances are old (I mean 1990s), so he could have written me off as a lost cause. But he told spent time on that AC, told me exactly what was wrong with it, and why it ultimately wouldn't get running today. I was shocked, but I am downright grateful. He even looked at my furnace while he was here, knowing it was bought at the same time. He went over various options for how I could proceed, whether it was to try to find replacement parts or finance a new AC with them and my home warranty. Lalo made sure he took the time I needed to understand and that I had contact information for my next steps, whatever decision I make.
If I manage to find the money to buy a new AC unit right now, I will definitely make sure I get the 10-year warranty for parts and labor through Connett Svc. It's worth it.

Every interaction we have had with the folks at Connett (from the person answering the phone at the office to the people installing and maintaining our furnace) has exceeded our expectations. Professional, timely, kind, and solution oriented. We were without a working furnace for 2 weeks (for reasons outside of Connetts control) and we always felt like Connett was on our side prioritizing our project.

We will continue to use Connett’s services and recommend others to do the same.

They didn't want to do anything besides upsell to new equipment. The tech pushed numerous times for lennox, and protection plans. Above that a call into the main office to discuss our dismay was met with rudeness and excuses. Literally not a care at all if we were satisfied.

If you need repairs, call anyone else, I would definitely not recommend them due to my horrible experience!
