Summer time in Iowa is HOT! In my opinion, there just isn’t anything worse than coming to terms with your home air conditioner not working… It’s not only uncomfortable, it’s expensive, it’s a hassle, it’s basically just a handful of unpleasant experiences all bundled together to make one miserable experience… unless you call Schaal’s…

I knew my system’s days were numbered. I also knew that no matter what, I needed someone I trusted to help me through the entire process. Seeing how much Angie Moffitt enjoyed working at Schaal, I knew Schaal’s was the place for me. Upon making the initial call, I spoke with Kinsie about requesting Angie, and of course she was happy to. It felt right from the start. As I am usually patient with these types “emergencies,” I was surprised to be seemingly bumped up since they knew I was completely down. They didn’t have to do that- but they did. And I was able to get an appointment sooner than I had thought.

Once Angie arrived, she took great care in keeping things clean, professional, and thorough. She had another great Schaal’s tech with her -Adriana. Both of them together made the entire experience as smooth and as hassle free as possible.

One funny thing that happened was while hosing out my old a/c unit, the water line in my basement burst. Obviously this was bound to happen whoever was going to use the hose next… The amount of compassion and concern those two showed was amazing. The situation was completely laughable- they made an even worse situation almost enjoyable.

Again, I was bumped up when Dave with the Comfort team had an opening in his schedule just later that afternoon. He made every option clear and help weigh the pros and cons of what “my” decision would mean to me. I found yet another Schaal’s employee that I gained trust in and was happy to spend time with.

As is the case for most of us, I just do not have a lot of wiggle room in an already over spent budget. I was told a couple of times that day that “we may not be the cheapest, and we aren’t the most expensive” To me, that is so important. When I need to squeeze the budget even more, I want to know that I am getting an incredible value for my money. Schaal’s has infact found a way to give me that value. I now have an HVAC company that actually cares about my families needs and will be there the next time I need service. I CANNOT THANK ANGIE AND THE ENTIRE SCHAAL’S FAMILY ENOUGH. You made a typically miserable experience almost pleasant and enjoyable. I know it’s all of our expectation that with a new system, I’ll be seeing less of you- but you can believe I will be telling everyone I know that if they are in need- call the super heroes in green and blue.
In the end, the final price alone means nothing. Getting the best service for great equipment combined with a great price made me feel at ease and confident I made the right call. I can’t wait for the install. I am sure they will be top notch as well.

Everyone I interacted with was professional and great. Sam did a complete inspection of our furnace and air conditioning for safety and overall condition. He was very thorough and professional and his review included pictures and performance values. He's extremely knowledgeable and can explain it in everyday terms.

Schaal will be our go to for any future heating & cooling needs! Our 30+ year old furnace died this winter and we were a little lost on where to even start. I got in touch with Schaal and we had an in-person quote done by the next evening for furance + AC replacement. Dave went through a variety of different options for our home and was so attentive to detail. He did a great job of explaining the technologies to us and helped us make the right decision for our home. Honestly after that level of service, we had no intentions of getting a second quote elsewhere. The installation was two days later and went very smoothly. Adam and Dan were super friendly and did amazing work! Adam was always checking to make sure I didn't have any questions and made sure I understood our new system before they left. I can't recommend this team enough if you're looking for quality!

Sam and Von were punctual, professional, and efficient. They diagnosed our issue and had it repaired same-day. Brownie points for humoring my pups with fetch and lots of belly rubs. Thanks again!

Blake was here to do my annual HVAC maintenance check and noticed the water heater was leaking. Very polite and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Very professional and knowledgeable about both systems. Saved me an unexpected surprise when the water heater might have failed at any time. Greatly appreciate the extra mile and effort from Blake.

Blake did an excellent job. He came in to do AC system tune up for the upcoming season and did a safety check. He found leaks in my gas pipes which he promptly fixed the same day. He was extremely through and left me feeling confident all the leaks had been repaired. I don't think I've ever been as satisfied with a company as Schaal Heating and Cooling they've gone above and beyond on every visit I've had with them.

Schaal Heating and Cooling provided me with an outstanding experience! They responded quickly to my call for regular maintenance and identified a problem with my AC system. Their technician, Angie Moffitt, was knowledgeable and professional, and worked efficiently to repair my system. She explained what she was doing and how to best maintain our AC system in the future. I am very pleased with the quality of the work, and I highly recommend Schaal Heating and Cooling!

Ryan from Schaal installed a new water heater for us. He gave us an estimate early in the afternoon and worked late to get the job done, leaving around 7 with the job done. He had to find a special, short heater to fit into our basement, and also ran into some duct challenges, but didn’t charge us more, staying true to the estimate. A superior service experience! Thank you, Ryan. We’ll be using Schaal again.

Ryan and Sam came out to do a service check and were on time, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. They set us up with Matt who was very helpful in explaining several options that would be best for us. He was friendly and answered all of our questions in a technical and relatable manner. Matt was able to get us on the schedule for that same week (two days later!) for installation. Adam and his crew came out to remove and install our furnace, a/c, and water heater. It was a full day of work. They were on time, friendly, cleaned up and explained everything prior to leaving. Everyone we interacted with from Schaal was great! Thank you!

Bryce did an excellent job today and provided the best customer service I have experienced in a while. I called this morning to have our A/C serviced since it wasn’t cooling right and Schall scheduled us for the same day. Bryce explained every service he did today. He also took before and after pictures of all the work he did. He even went above and beyond when he saw a birds nest in our dryer vent above the A/C unit and asked if we would like him to remove it for us!! I would recommend Schall to anyone needing their A/C serviced and if you get Bryce you will be well taken care of!
