Steve gave me a fair price for my blower motor replacement and was able to squeeze me in for very prompt (same day) service. Jay Pieper showed up right on time and provided a quality installation with professional A+/5-Star service. Jay arrived with decades of knowledge in the industry and I was very happy with my experience working with LINS Heating & Air Conditioning. I would recommend LINS Heating & Air Conditioning to my friends and family.
I am editing my previous post to include what happened after the initial incident. Since the below happened LINS did reach out and installed the required part charging us only labor. This is what they had originally agreed to do the first time.
I have been debating whether three stars is too kind in this instance as they have successfully completed the maintenance they were originally suppose to complete. Only charging us labor this time discredits the time that we previously lost coordinating our schedules and then needing to re coordinate when they called back to reschedule. I understand that mistakes do happen, and credit them for coming back. I am leaving the original comments below because the frustration is real.
“ We purchased our house two years ago and were told the AC unit was under warranty. We had our annual check completed last week where we discovered the AC turbine was broken and needed to be repaired. We did not know who installed the unit so I used the serial number to track the part from the distributor in Waterloo. I contacted LINS Heating & Air Conditioning and they confirmed that they installed the unit and that it would be under warranty. Fast forward to the technician showing up and taking an hour to tell us that the maintenance would not be covered and we would need to pay $130 to cover the hour it took to do nothing. I called the office and they said they were sorry for the trouble but they would accept the warranty and they would not charge for the first hour where nothing was completed. Shortly after that the owner of the company called me to say he was going to “intervene” with our problem. He informed me that they would not be covering the parts under warranty because it was clearly stated on the invoice that was given to the previous owners that their company needed to be the one to complete the annual inspection for the unit to remain under warranty. The entire experience lacked any form of customer service and I would not recommend them to anyone. To have them tell us two separate times that the maintenance would be covered and then have the owner not take any responsibility was frustrating.If they have already installed anything in your home I would recommend getting a home warranty to help cover maintenance cost when it inevitably breaks.”
Lins Heating came to our rescue during a cold snap this winter and installed a new furnace and added some additional duct work. Marc, John, Sam, Jay and Julie were all fabulous, and friendly. We really appreciated their pricing, responsiveness and professionalism. We highly recommend Lins Heating and Air Conditioning.
Jay from Lins Heating and Cooling came out yesterday and fixed our balky furnaces. We were so grateful to have a human person answer the phone early in the morning on the day after the Christmas holiday!!
I have an ancient AC unit and I thought for sure it had finally gone kaput. My technician from Lins was Jay and he did as wonderful job in accessing the issue and found the trouble. He checked the whole system, made necessary repairs and was very kind. Was honest in telling me that my AC was still functional, but was about done for. I can't afford a new AC right now so his repairs give me a chance to save up some money. Exemplary customer service and reasonable prices. Will use their services again.

Update: Had them replace AC and Heater. They came on time and the guys that came out were very nice. They did a great job. If you need anything go with LINS.
I recently switched to LINS on recommendation from friend as my former company had really raised prices on maintenance. I had it checked in May, all good , but my system was cooling and the fan blades stopped spinning…of course on a weekend..I left a message and they promptly called back first thing Monday…Jay came out that afternoon and assessed the situation… he had to order a new condenser from Moline…it came in the next day…and he came out to install this morning…good price…
Repaired my heatpump did an excellent job Jay is the man on time and quality work a lifesaver in this situation!!l would highly recommend Lins great place two thumbs up!!
They were the only HVAC place in the area that could put me on the schedule; our furnace is not producing heat so it's a bit of an emergency when you have pets and children. They're coming out in a couple of days and I'll be sure to update this review if needed. So far so good!
