I had an inducer blower motor go out on my home furnace. It was late on a Friday and I was desperately trying to find a replacement to get it going quickly, as the inside temp of the house hovered around 50 degrees. I couldn’t find one locally, so a quick Google search showed that Shorty’s had one, but they’re in Indiana and I’m in Seattle. I talked with Josh and he said that he would get it into the UPS system ASAP and it should be at my place tomorrow. He did exactly as he said he would, and the part was dropped at my door at 12 PM (I had heat by 12:45!) Thanks for not just printing a label and letting the part sit in your shop over the weekend! Great service!

I was looking online for an inducer motor for our daughter's furnace and found Shorty's listing. When I realized they were in town, I called them, they confirmed they had the part in stock and then put it in will-call for me. There was an accident in front of me on the highway, so I realized I couldn't get there before 5:00. I called in, they took my payment over the phone and arranged for me to get the part after hours. Their pricing is very competitive, the staff are knowledgeable, and the customer service is outstanding.

The furnace was making noises, so I took advantage of a furnace cleaning special; to also get a general check-up. The technician identified the draft inducer as the source of the noise, and a potential for future failure. When he called in to the dispatcher for a repair quote, he had to ask them to repeat it a couple of times. It was $1,500. I presume it was for parts, labor, and added profit.

I didn’t think the type of assembly, and ease of accessibility warrant the price. After watching a couple of YouTube videos, I decided to do it myself. After looking on line, ‘Shortys came up. After thinking I found the part, I contacted them with the furnace model and serial number to confirm my selection. They promptly responded with the corrected part number.

The assembly (motor, squirrel cage, gasket, and shield fan) came within days. The assembly’s price was one-fifth of the first quote, and it took me less then 10 minutes to change out.

I definitely will check with Shortys for any future furnace parts.

I had a great experience with Shortys. Ash was extremely quick and friendly over email. He was knowledgeable about the part I needed and was able to help get my part shipped quickly. My local HVAC installer quoted $800-900 to replace an inducer motor mounted to the side of the furnace with a gasket and two screws. The same motor on Shortys was $365, including shipping, and took five minutes to install.
