Friendly staff and great service. They sell to the public, but a warning to anyone who is not a tradesman, installing your own furnace is not for a novice, it can be fatal. Installing your own Air Conditioner is illegal without an EPA 608 certification. Local codes and permitting will also apply.

Surplus city sells scratch and dent, old new stock (last years models), and overstock equipment. It is possible you purchase a unit with a mechanical issue due to damage. They make a solid attempt at informing you of anything wrong with the equipment if its visible, but they don't know everything. Do your research first, they have a good selection of rotating stock. They are fair and have good prices.

Please hire someone from the trade to install it. An improperly sized unit can cost you more than you would save here. Also do your research on who you have install the equipment. Carbon monoxide is fatal and refrigerant is expensive and damaging to the environment so you don't want these systems leaking. There are a lot of fly by night companies and shade tree mechanics that will scam you. Hire someone you know, someone you trust or at least someone with good references.

With all of that being said, I have bought from Surplus city, they are a reputable dealer and I would buy from them again.

Purchased (2) 2 stage ICP 110/65k BTU gas furnaces that were supposed to be Tempstar badged but in reality were Kenmore badged and 1 was slightly dented. Anita worked with me after I raised it to her attention to adjust the price fairly and I am really happy with the units. I will buy from them again. I saved thousands and found a local Licensed HVAC installer to install the 2 of them along with a new AC system they sold me. Incremental labor was minimal for the furnace since the AC was being replaced.

Nice helpful staff. Excellent prices on HVAC equipment if you're a DIYer. Keep in mind you risk problems and time fixing buying these factory 2nds. I think the evaporator I purchased has a bad TXV, however it functions OK.

Item was very well packaged inside and had heavy duty protection on all exterior corners. Will purchase from them again.

If you're looking for ac parts. .this warehouse...is almost ...the Amazon warehouse...of HVAC... Prices can't be beat. Drove 3hours to get it and was well worth it. And gas was less than half ...what shipping was

This is the WORST McDonald's ever!! They are always sooo slow and can NEVER get anything right! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat because they don't even deserve a star!
