Came home to 83 degrees in the house last night. 4th of July weekend and looked like a hot one for us. Once I determined the capacitor had failed, I started searching for a replacement. Everyone appeared to be closed but then my new best friend answered the phone at Decatur Hardware. Officially he was closed but since he was in doing maintenance, he answered the phone. I'm now enjoying the AC and the rest of my holiday with my family. Great price and great service, thank you!

This place is as shady as they come. Our church had them to come out and quote a job for replacing our air conditioner that had quit. We were quoted a price and a 3 day time frame for the job to be completed. They were to begin on a Monday. No air conditioning by Friday and the guy had stopped working completely on Wednesday. We were not notified that the man had stopped working due to a special part that needed to be made. We had to call to find out this information, the guy working nor the owner even had the courtesy to call and inform us, we found out by calling them. By Wednesday of the next week, still no further work and no air conditioning. We had to call AGAIN to try to find out why we were not being informed of the progress, 2 weeks later and why was it taking so long. I was the one that called and ask a simple question of why were not informed because the congregation had begun to ask what was wrong. I spoke to the owner. I have never been yelled at so much or spoken so rudely to in my life. He said he did not owe an explanation and the part was not in and that was it. I had no right asking him about why the job had been sitting for 2 weeks with us not knowing why! Not the way a real business on the up and up is run in my experience. They finally contracted out the job to get it done last week. This week my husband found it not running again and the church hot. My husband checked and the wiring had came loose and overheated the other connectors until the were burnt up. My husband has had to go in and fix their mistakes and sloppy work after paying them the full amount, even with the job over 2 weeks past due. Please dont ever use this place for anything. The workers have no idea what they are doing and the owners is just as bad along with being the rudest most horrible person to try to speak with. He needs to get out of the business, like yesterday! Stay away!!

Steve Couch is a flashy ripoff artist. Went to buy a blower motor and not only was he extremely overpriced compared to Granger but he tried to slide in a no return contract while he pretended to talk on the phone. What kind of business does not back up the products they sell with at least a 30 day warranty? BUYER BEWARE.

Local place with tons of different hardware and tools. The cashier is helpful but lingers around you a little to long . I like to look for a while before I decide if I want to spend money .

These folks are a lifesaver for the HVAC DYIer. Its nice to be able to buy HVAC parts without getting gouged by the local heating and air company.
