I have used Carl’s hearing and cooling numerous times. Years ago I had a house that still had a coal burning furnace. This thing was huge. Carl and one of his team members spent two days sawing apart the old system and removing it. I think my house was built around the furnace since it was about 7 feet by 8 long and 5 foot tall cast iron system. Then recently my ac wasn’t working and it was scorching hot. I called their 24/7 phone number and he was there in the hour. What other hvac company answers right away when you call 24 hours a day? Fantastic service!

This seemed like a great business at first and came highly recommended but was a complete NIGHTMARE. TL;DR: dont waste your time, they quoted me a new air conditioner unit and install, waited me out for two weeks and then REFUSED to come to the appointment or deliver on the services.

Carl's son came out to quote my replacement air conditioner and also mentioned that my flue needed repaired. Said that the soonest they could get me in would be 2 weeks later so I scheduled the replacement appointment. He even spoke to my home warranty company to discuss the replacement and my home warranty agreed to reimburse me after the fact for a small portion of the cost. He said that they would more than likely call a day prior to the appointment to confirm and settle in on a time but that otherwise he didn't need anything from me.

Flash forward to the day of the appointment two weeks later- no phone call to confirm and had not heard from Carl's by 9:30am on the day of (not a big deal) so I call the office. His wife claims that I am not on the schedule at *all* and that her system only showed my service call from the 31st of May. She says she'll need to call me back.

She calls back an hour later and says that my paperwork had been sitting on a desk for two weeks, had never been processed or even looked at and that I would've never been put on the calendar to begin with because I had not talked to Carl about what unit I needed and confirmed the quote I was given (was never informed of this process and assumed that this would be done by them if it needed to be done at all. Again, her son told me that everything was good to go during my initial appointment and that they needed nothing else from me).

She then says that since I was being reimbursed by a home warranty after the fact that they refuse to work with me because they don't work with home warranty companies (even though they would not be working with a home warranty company outside of the initial phone call that was completed two weeks ago. All payments are made by me). When I explained to her that her son had spoken to my home warranty company while standing in my living room and did not mention this at all whatsoever and appeared to be very familiar with the process she brushed it off and continued to say that its too much work for them and they would not do business with or deliver on the services they quoted and promised me.

So, after having me wait TWO weeks for a replacement air conditioner and additional services that I was willing to pay thousands of dollars for in JUNE they have refused to do a service they quoted and promised me. Don't waste your time.

We hard Carl come out and replace both our furnace and a/c. They were very professional, more than competitively priced! I have ans will continue to recommend using this company. "I have a guy"!

Great company. When my a/c went out a co-worker referred Carl’s to me. Carl came to quote the job. Carl did the install. Carl and his son replaced our furnace a couple years later. This morning we woke up with no a/c. Carl came out on a Sunday, Father’s Day to do the service call. He was earlier than promised. Got done quickly. Topped off the Freon. The repair was covered by the warranty. Locally owned and operated. Quality. This is what I look for in businesses I deal with.

Carl came to the house and gave a quick no nonsense bid. Gave a fair price and when we had the money, we scheduled the installation of our new HVAC system. They came in with the right amount of people and had everything installed pretty quickly. They showed up on time, even a little early. They cleaned up after themselves and left the area looking better than when they arrived.

Carl and his son installed a heat pump system in my house last week. His pricing was extremely competitive. The other guys quotes were higher and they were using inferior products. Carl uses “American Standard” equipment which is the highest rated equipment for reliability. He gives you a 1 year labor-10 year parts warranty as well. Don’t make the mistake of calling the number that the home builder attached to your system. In my case those guys prices were 35% higher than Carl’s. You would be crazy not to at least get a quote from this guy. Google “American Standard” as well and you will see they have the fewest problems.

I called at 6:30pm because I thought there was a problem with my heat pump. Carl was here in 20 minutes and said everything was fine with it. He checked it all out and only charged for the cost of a check up which, was very responsibly priced. Very happy with the service and I would recommend them any day!!
