Peterman Brothers Heating Cooling Plumbing

Had a super friendly tech who was able to unclog an unruly drain. Love how easy it was to schedule an appt online, I was able to get someone to our home the next day. Thank you, highly recommend and will use again as the need arises!

Had a new water heater installed. Was not installed properly and within a 2 month span created mold and ruined drywall and floors downstairs. They came out next day to reinstall water heater, while adding a new copper pipe drain system that leads into our existent hvac drain. After all is said and done they will not take responsibility for the damage created, insisting the water heater did not cause damage. That’s frustrating to say the least. Our homeowners insurance, mold and water mitigation company and independent contractors agree their faulty initial install of water heater is the cause of water damage. I now have to go through my homeowners insurance to cover damage. Would not reccomend!

We had a valve to the washing machine disintegrate as I was un-installing the machine. The new washing machine was coming the next day, and Peterman Bros. came out in advance of the new washing machine delivery to replace the valve. He was polite and friendly, moved quickly, careful not to damage the surrounding space, and had the job done in no time. Couldn't have asked for better, and we'll certain call on these guys again for our next service!

We called Peterman Brothers a few days ago and explained what we were needing (in great detail). The girl who answered the phone said she needed to speak to someone else to see if they could do the job. It seemed like they were going to be on top of things, as their communication seemed great. Then, the next day, after waiting around, the guy who came out said he had no idea it was outside and that he really only works on indoor plumbing. He said he’d let them know we needed a different person and would schedule for today. I got another confirmation and again after waiting around (they won’t give a timeframe - just a day and call about 30 mins before), a man called and said he always calls to “find out what we’re going to do” before coming out. When I told him, he said he needed to call the office to see if they can do it. We need some PVC pipes rerouted for our pool (seems like a pretty easy job for a licensed plumber). He called back shortly after and said they couldn’t do it and wouldn’t be coming out to see what the job looks like. He was apologetic and I told him it wasn’t his fault but now we’re a few more days behind in our project and wasted 2 days of waiting. We even agreed to the $85 trip charge JUST TO LOOK AT THE PROJECT when we set up the appt.
I wouldn’t trust that they can do what they say they can.

I will not be calling on Peterman’s in the future. I called for a simple garbage disposal install. They kept me waiting most of the day to say that they were coming. It got too late in the day (I had another appointment) so rescheduled.
The 2nd appointment, had me waiting another 4 hours before showed up.
When I made the appointment, they said it would be about $200 for the install, when the plumber came in, said it would be $400 to do the install!!
I said no thanks, called someone else that day, they said they would do it, the MOST it would cost is $190, but if they got it done in less than an hour, it would be less.
Petermans is friendly, but only out to make big $. No thanks!

They were able to send someone out to fix a leaking pipe and install an outside spigot the day after I called. The technician was well versed in plumbi ng repairs/Installation and clearly explained what the problem was and what he was doing to repair it. I will recommend them without hesitation in the future.

Our water wasn’t draining for a few days, causing back ups - starting at the beginning of the weekend. Tried reaching out to local plumbing comp,, but no luck.
Checked to see if Peterman would service, since we’re in martinsville & they were able to schedule for same day!
Very grateful for Peterman & specifically tech Connor, for unclogging our house drain.
Highly recommend.

Mike Z and Sam C did a very professional job of installing sump pumps in my basement. The new integrated pumps operate more efficiently, have better monitoring devices, and run quieter than my old ones. I can now rest easy without worrying if my basement will flood during the next bad storm. Thanks Peterman Bros!!!

Alex Ayres easily took of my drain clog, and asked if I needed anything else done around the house..... Well, as a matter of fact, I've been needing 2 high up bulbs changed.... done! Great job.
