B & W promptly sent Shawn to our house after our air conditioning stopped working. He was able to efficiently diagnose the problem and get us back in the cool air. B & W is fast, professional and very reasonable.

After having less than stellar experiences with other HVAC companies, I was impressed by B & W. They came over on the day when my furnace went out and 4 other companies could not get to me that day. Very knowledgable and the tech explained all he was fixing. I think they will be my goto HVAC company from now one. Reasonably priced as well.

As many others have already noted, B&W is and has been my go-to company for furnace and AC work -- purchase, maintenance and repairs -- for at least 25 years. I also have been thrilled with other services they provided over the years.
• A basement gas space heater now at least 40 years old and used every winter -- several years ago it started “smoking” and B&W sent a technician who determined that it was belching soot and needed a thorough cleaning. After the caution that parts were no longer available if anything broke during the process, I crossed my fingers and several hours later had a “good as new” space heater which is still used every winter.
• Duct cleaning -- We’ve had many rescue dogs over the years, most of them long-haired and large. To improve HVAC performance, B&W gave our ducts a thorough cleaning, so thorough that they had to leave to empty the vacuumed contents and make a second trip to the house to finish the job.
• Wiring upgrades throughout the house – Our “mid-century modern” ranch house eventually needed an electrical upgrade and makeover. Not knowing where to start, I called B&W to ask if they could do the work. They could and did. Eventually they also coordinated with Ameren to bring “more power” in from the pole, then transferred all the connections to a new, larger breaker box in the basement.
My parting advice: hire B&W not only for HVAC work but also for any of your electrical needs.

I had called four heating and cooling companies in the Wood River - Alton area to get quotes and they were the only company that would give me a quote after the did the evaluations, the rest wanted to email or bring them by at a later date which was almost a week later( in my opinion that just goes to show how they will repair your equipment later down the line....A WEEK LATER.) They were hundreds less than the lowest competitors and thousands less than the highest. They were on time and very courteous, Mark walked me through all through processes from beginning to the end product. Now I can relax knowing I have reliable and efficient heat and air conditioning due to mine being as old as my parents..lol

Our technitican, Mark, was incredibly in depth when responding to questions. It was a quite incredible experience, honestly. We learned so much about out brand new water heater and even our old, broken one that we did not know about before, and hopefully with this knowledge we can preserve its longevity. Five stars. Support this local buisness, they are freaking fantastic.

I want to say thanks for the prompt, honest and professional service that we have been provided. I called the office on a Friday around noon and my ac was repaired and cooling the house in less than 2 hours. Great service!

The techs at B&W have always been very efficient, thorough and have always explained everything they did during the service visit. They have always arrived on time and if they will be later or earlier than usual, I get a call from the office. Very pleased with B&W!

Air Conditioner not giving cold air. Shawn came on time was very courteous and efficient. He performed his analysis and answered all my questions. He checked the total system and got the system back to working like new quickly. Will be using this company again.

I've used them twice in the last month for different issues with my hot water heater and they were very professional and nice. Gordon was here today and was very informative and kind. I highly recommend them!
