This is the second time Jim has come to our home for the spring and the fall checkups. He is very courteous and highly knowledgeable about his job. We are very pleased with B&W service to keep our heating and cooling system in tip top shape.

After five quotes from various companies, I settled on B&W to replace my home's old furnace and AC. Mark (Owner) and two others from B&W installed a new 96% Furnace/16 SEER AC Outdoor unit and I couldn't have asked for a better, more professional, quicker, or thorough job than these guys. They finished installing both units, and removing the old units, all before 3 PM (I was expecting more like 6/8 PM).

Their "Don't Get Ripped Off" section on B&W's website is 100% true. Quotes from other companies for even an 80%/13 SEER (minimum requirements in most places) were several thousands higher than B&W's quote for a 96%/16 SEER. Mark also replaced my thermostat and upgraded the air filtration to an Aprilaire MERV 13 filter.

I could not be a happier camper. I talked to Rick while we were wrapping things up and we will definitely be hopping onto their seasonal maintenance program starting next year. Very affordable compared to other companies.

SIDE NOTE: They do install Amana/Goodman. I know these brands can have a bad name in certain neighborhoods. I performed extensive research on the brands and found that almost all common problems with this brand are due to poor installation or from installations from unlicensed contractors/homeowners. I consulted my neighbors (all three have Goodmans) and they all love them and have had zero issues. If you're on the fence about whether or not to take a chance on the brand. Let B&W install it for you. Mark has over 30 years of experience and his employees are either family (Family-owned business) or other skilled technicians that have anywhere from 15-25 years of experience themselves. As an engineer myself, I read the owners manuals online for installation instructions for both the Furnace/AC before they arrived. After the job was finished, I inspected the quality of the work and found that everything was installed to code and to the manufacturer's instructions perfectly by B&W. They used the right flue pipe elbows, all pipes were bonded, they supported the pipes at the right intervals, used the right slope for the flue pipes, put in a new refrigerant line (instead of using the old R-22 line). Because the AC was installed in winter, B&W has agreed to come back in the spring (complimentary) and verify that the AC is charged to standard.

We have been using B&W in excess of 25 years and always get the spring/fall contract. What a bargain! Jim usually comes to work at our house. I can't think a more reliable, trustworthy, competent service person who has been at our house. Kudos to Jim.

Mark from B&W is who to call if you are looking for an honest guy to do any HVAC work for you. He came out on a moments notice to give me a second opinion after another company told me I needed a new furnace ASAP and that my furnace needed to be shut off and was dangerous to operate. First thing Mark did was call manufacturer to check on warranty and age of furnace (it was still under warranty), the other company did not check and lied to me about the age of my furnace. Turns out, after a meticulous inspection, we didn't even need to use the warranty, my furnace didn't need repairs at all. He even said, I'd love to sell you a new furnace, but you don't need one. Honest, straightforward guy, who showed me all the parts of my furnace, how they worked, what safety "triggers" are in place if something does go wrong, etc. He did not try to use scare tactics or lies to sell me something. I highly recommend!

B&W was awesome. They arrived in 20 minutes jumped right on the job and had a answer for us what was going on within the first 5 minutes. Before calling B&W we called 2 other places one stating they would return my call and never did the other saying it would be 7pm before they could arrive. B&W was very fast at taking our call and arrived in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend B&W to anyone needing assistance. Thank you B&W
