    We used Shavitz for our HVAC and furnace system servicing maintenance last year and we asked them to inspect our attic duct work to ensure it was properly insulated. The service providers who came to our home were extremely professional and knowledgeable and saved us money by informing us the attic duct work was insulated and needed no repairs when they could have easily said otherwise since it's not easy for us to access or see.

    However, we no longer work with Shavitz because working with their schedulers is an absolute nightmare and a waste of time. We smelled a small gas leak in our basement, not alarming enough to call the gas company, but alarming enough that we called the Shavitz "emergency" line. It was impossible to get ahold of someone who could schedule a technician to come out, and ultimately they recommended we call their regular line during business hours so their "emergency" line is entirely useless. Once a technician was able to get scheduled they were again quick and professional and fixed the leak in under an hour.

    Then we needed to make some repairs to our stove hood vent line. We played email tag with the scheduler for weeks before finally they informed us that Shavitz does not perform that service, which is completely acceptable, but the amount of time it took for them to ascertain this was a huge waste of time. This happened again when we reached out to Shavitz to ask them to service our HVAC and furnace on our rental condo like they did for our home. After over a month of email tag they informed us they're not servicing rental properties currently.

    Bottom line, if you can get a technician to your home they will do a fantastic job, but we will never work with Shavitz again because it's too hard to get through their administrators.

    Demarius is a great service tech. He answered my silly questions with all the patience in the world. He is courteous and intelligent. The one take away is:If ur going to be late…send a quick text to the client communication is important. Shavits has a great team, period!

    Henry takes the necessary time to check the full system. With other companies in the past I never felt like they really took their time with the maintenance checks. Shavitz is different, and Henry is the best and really checks all the necessary components and when he leaves, I am comfortable I am ready for another seaason.

    I have used them for about 20 years. The service goes up and down depending on who you get. For being a customer for 20 years I would expect them to know my heating and cooling system a bit better than they do. For starters I bought both systems from them, but they seem to have no connection from one visit to the next. This has happened several times over the years. Where the person who shows up to do the maintenance just really has no idea about the history of my units. Sometimes they even criticize the work of the last technician who was here! And it is one of their own guys! Part of the reason I stay with them is because every once in a while, I get a good technician who reads the notes and understands exactly what the nuances are of my units and doesn’t made recommendations that have been made before or doesn’t criticize the recommendations that have been made before. Overall, they have certainly helped me out when I’ve been in a pinch and they are very nice people. It does get annoying when I have to spend extra time waiting at home when one of them screws something up and they have to come back and fix it. But that only seems to happen about every few years or so. They do though get somebody out quickly when the situation occurs. And all the technicians are super nice and explain things well. They just don’t seem to read the notes to know what has gone on before their current visit.

    We have an old house, and have survived with window AC's for long enough!!! So, we shopped, and chose Shavitz to install a 4 unit Ductless Split System (Mitsubishi). This was not a small purchase, and for that kind of money, I expect high quality service and knowledge. Well, I couldn't be happier with our decision! Christof is exceptionally knowledgeable, responsive and professional and helped me understand what I needed and worked through the intricacies of our old (sometimes odd-shaped) home. And I have to say the same for the installers Merick and Tim. Always on time, being super conscientious and careful in keeping the house clean during install...and they know their stuff!!! But here's the kicker! These guys asked me about details on how I wanted this or that. They didn't just go ahead and do it, they said, "This is your house, we want to make it the way you're going to like it". Oh my gosh! Unbelievable! They added more "hide-a-line" material where some lines were showing on the side of the house...they made it sooo clean looking! Really awesome! Each unit has a drain tube, and I wanted one that came out by our deck to follow behind the railing so it was out of site. They said, "No problem!". These guys are great! From the beginning of the install, I could tell I made the right decision with Shavitz! They have cemented a loyal customer for all my HVAC needs. Really feels good to have this system put in the way I want it! I can't say enough for these guys! A company you can trust!!!

    The people from Shavitz who came to work at our house were knowledgable and competent professionals. Miguel and Tim put in overtime to complete the job, and the work looks beautiful. David installed the upstairs thermostat and solved the electric problem answering all my questions.

    Tech showed up at appointed time. He called 20 minutes ahead of showing up to prep us. He performed scheduled maintenance and we discussed and added humidifier maintenance. The tech explained everything he did and told us what to look out for going forward. Maintenance was scheduled led and is on the calendar for for our next maintenance. The tech was in spud out quickly and didn’t waste any time. I hope he comes back in 6 months.

    After about 15 years of good service from Shavitz, I am no longer able to trust or recommend them. They were unable to diagnose what in the end was a simple repair. In the process, my family and I wasted hours and hours trying to remedy a problem ourselves, and we wasted a large amount of money in electricity.
    For a while, Shavitz' higher prices seemed worth it for the sake of prompt service and good quality products. When I repeatedly asked their service department to escalate my concerns, I heard nothing back. This is not the way you treat long-term customers.
