Here is how they operate - I called them to get the furnace checked. They asked me that the cost would be $89 for the check-up and if I would like to go ahead with the repair, that would absorbed in the repair cost. So, they came to inspect right on time (that’s the good part). After they inspected, they told be that the repair would cost me somewhere between $800-1000. Since, it would have made sense to get the furnace replace rather than pay that high amount, I tried to decline the repair. They mentioned, if I decline, I would need to pay them $240 for the check-up!!! WHY? Because they said the diagnosis took them more time than they thought. That is not my fault! Also, they told me to make the decision within few minutes because the check-up cost would go up every 15 minutes. I had NO option left but to go ahead with the repair service rather than take some time to evaluate the option. Never again!!

Its great to find a Family owned company that offers such great service from the first call to the maintenance appointments! John has offered me valuable advice which has kept my furnace running smoothly for years. Every HVAC technician they sent has been friendly and professional. Awesome Family Owned Company. Fixed a vent issue I have been putting up with since I bought the house. Looked at my furnace and vents and now my house is warmer and the heat kicks on less which I'm going to assume will save me money. I actually retired the space heater! Tom the owner also saw an issue with my water heater and carbon monoxide after he packed his gear up, and insisted that he fix the issue for my families safety. Charged me more then a fair price and possibly saved my life? Give Corcoran Heating a Call! They give you a much more personalized service then these national franchises . Couldn't be Happier!

Tim and Greg worked together very well. I was very impressed with how they were very dedicated and precise during the Installation. Joe was there to help when needed and got alot of instructions. He was very positive and a great attitude and helped to make things go smoothly. A great team!!! They left everything very clean. Brenda was very helpful with the financing part and always has a great attitude.

Would highly recommend the guys at Corcoran. They did work at my office and shop which included re-balancing air flow within each room. They took a highly technical approach and then did several mods on our existing system to make it all work much better than it every has. Corcoran did not do the original install, but I wish they had because they really known their stuff. Not to mention timely and professional as well.

Not always the best service to have done, but when you are happy with it, the service must have been GREAT. I have to commend Tom (he worked on my home and business), he was very courteous and very knowledgeable. He even took the time to explain everything he was doing for me. I just wanted to take moment an express my sincere gratitude and appreciation towards you and your company. As you know we had (2) two five year old Peerless Pinacle boiler at my home that we had lost all confidence in, and of course during the Christmas/New Year holiday break we had no heat. From the moment you call me to the day long service call to the installation of the new peerless boiler. You and your men were nothing less than spectacular. It was your professionalism and truly caring attitude that made a frustrating situation so much easier to deal with.
Every aspect of your company was of the utmost care and professionalism. From your relentlessness attitude in trying to repair the existing boiler, to the prompt professional courtesy that your men showed my family during the installation of the new boiler. As per your advice, we took out both boilers and replaced them with one larger newer version of the Peerless boiler. I wanted you to know that your advice was dead on correct!!
The new boiler is working great, heating the home perfectly, extremely quit and extremely efficiently. So needless to say you are my new best friend. Please let this letter serve as notice that I will be recommending your company to EVERYONE I KNOW!!

From the first phone call to the office, I knew I had found the company with whom I was going to do business. When Brenda answered the phone she was helpful, friendly and efficient. I felt this same way when John came out a few days later to give me an estimate. He was professional and knowledgable and very detail oriented. We exchanged a few emails and a phone call after he provided me with a quote and I came to know how passionate he is for his business.
For the 21 years I have lived in my townhouse, I have always had a problem getting the master bedroom, which is located above the garage, to the same temperature as the rest of the house. It is either too warm in the summer and too cold in the winter. John suggested I add additional ductwork to the bedroom, a suggestion other contractors had never proposed. When I received a quote from John, it was very detailed and was $1000 less than what I received from another contractor who also proposed an air conditioner and furnace of lesser quality than a Trane. The other contractor proposed adding a separate zone for my master bedroom, which I have heard from other contractors would most likely not solve my problem. John's quote was extremely detailed and thorough. Corcoran HVAC also provides a Heatmaxx/Coolmaxx system efficiency set up which is a value added perk few companies provide. They also remove all of the old equipment and packing materials from the new AND sort it and recycle it, which I really value.
The day of the installation went extremely well. Tim, Greg and Mike arrived on time and quickly went to work assessing what had to be done, which was quite a bit. They were efficient, knowledgable and great problem solvers when challenges arose in my home. I felt completely confident in their ability to do quality work and they lived up to my expectation. Not only do I have new equipment and training in how to use it, best of all, my master bedroom is now as cool as the rest of the house. After 21 years, I finally found a company who knew how to solve my problem and were able to provide excellent technicians to install the equipment at a very fair price. What more could I want????

I just wanted to thank you and your staff for the recent work that was done on my heating system. In a time where customer service has been an 800 number and a non-descript individual showing up, it is refreshing to work with you and your staff when we had an emergency.
We have been a customer of Corcoran Heating and Air Conditioning for over 15 years. We had engaged you to clean/service our furnace and air conditioning in the spring and fall. Throughout this period of time, our equipment had always functioned flawlessly. The folks that have come out to perform the service have always been courteous and efficient.
This past December, we awoke on a Sunday morning to a house that was 57 degrees with an outside temperature of 10 degrees. I immediately called your office and got the answering machine. The message said that a technician would be notified immediately. Being a bit suspect that somebody would call back in a timely manner, I gave it a half hour. In fifteen minutes, I received a call back and the technician indicated that he would be out in less than an hour. He arrived at 9:00am and began working immediately. After about a half hour he had the heat running again but indicated that the unit would need “a lot” of further work in order to get it operating safely and efficiently. He explained that multiple parts had failed and to repair it would be over a thousand dollar in parts plus labor. He suggested a new furnace. A little shocked, I asked if I could speak with you. You stopped by my house early the next morning and went over everything again in detail. You explained the failed parts, why it was really not economically feasible to repair based on the age of the unit and why a newer unit would be more economically advantageous. To make sure we were getting the correctly sized unit, you measured the entire house including windows as the basis for calculating the furnace size. In addition to suggesting the new unit, you also demonstrated a knowledge of the current manufacture rebates being offered and the tax benefit of getting a new unit. Lastly, because I agreed to the new unit, you gave me credit for the Sunday service call. Overall, this dropped the cost of the new furnace by over one thousand dollars.
The new unit was schedules and installed on Monday. This was only 24 hours after the old unit failed. Tim the technician arrived in the morning and began removing the old unit and installing the new unit. The installation was completed by the end of the day. About a week later we noticed a slight noise coming from the new unit. I called and you came out within a couple of hours. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty fan and a technician was out the next morning to repair it. Since then it has been operating efficiently and quietly. Lastly, within three days or the installation, all of the completed paperwork arrived for the rebate and tax documentation.
I’m generally not inclined to send out letter like this but I believe that one was warranted. We were between a rock and a hard place and could have been without heat and paid a fortune for a service call and a new furnace. Instead, you dealt with us fairly, professionally and quickly. I wish all the folks I dealt with worked the same way as Corcoran Heating and Air Conditioning. If you ever need someone to speak to a new or existing customer about your company or service please feel free to give them my number.
