DRF Water Heating Solutions

Andy and Tim came to install a new power vent water heater that another company had come and told us we needed. Instead of just jumping right into it, Andy took a few minutes to figure out what was going on and deduced that there were several problems with our current setup that could be putting the pilot light out! Of course we didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a new water heater since ours is only several months old, so I was happy to hear it. Andy made sure everything was looking good and we finally feel safe and confident that we’re going to have hot water again, saving us thousands of dollars. Thank you Andy and Tim!!

Communication was great. I received calls every step of the way. They were able to set up installation the next day, which was a Saturday. The install team arrived when scheduled. They were efficient, clean and professional. I would highly recommend DRF.

We went to home depot looking for a tankless water heater and got referred to this company. The company first gave us a quote over the phone which we felt fishy already. To install a Navien tankless water heater, the quote over the phone was 6200$. The following work day they said they sent someone to "take the measurement". After the guy showed up who is obviously a sub contractor, the quote went up to 7500$. And if you don't hire them, you get charged 149$. It is a horrible process. When I called them, they just said this is a standard process and all plumbing service charge a standard fee. I will NOT use this service company.

Especially if you're using home depot. I got a guy named John who was giving me a quote for a water heater. His price seemed to shock me and when I asked he said "You need one right now (which I didn't he just assumed) I know we're the only ones available today". I was a bit pushed back by how he acted. Almost as if he thinks he got you in a tough spot so he's gonna gouge you for all you have. I fortunately wasn't in a tough spot so I researched, called and couldn't believe how this company was over 2xs more than other quotes. Including LOWES. I had Lowe's come out that very same day and install the SAME water heater for almost 2xs less. AVOID!

Clayton G and Manny replaced my water heater. Both were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Clayton took time to explain all the work they did and how to shut off water and gas lines. He also showed me how to start the heater. They answered all my questions and cleaned up the work area after they finished. Highly recommended!

We are so grateful for the professionalism and attention to detail provided. Our installer, Jim, was so thorough, professional, and very knowledgeable. We appreciated the way he explained everything that was being done and the hard work and attention to detail with which he installed our new water heater. Hopefully we won’t have to replace again for a very long time, but if we do, we will definitely use DRF again. Thank you, again!

They quoted me "starting at $3,000 in JUST LABOR" to swap out an 8 year old tankless HWH for the new version of the same unit that I had already purchased. When I was surprised at the price and said that I would just do it myself, the salesman on the phone was sort of rude / condescending. I was able to swap it myself, leak free and functional in less than 2 hours.
I have to assume that for those prices, they would have done an excellent job... but I don't think there is any way to turn a 2 hr job into a 3K job other than price gouging. Come on guys, don't be ridiculous.

After quoting me for a unit. They called back later and tried to up sale me on a more expensive unit. I told them I didn’t want the more expensive unit. They said fine, then called me again later in the night and said what they quoted me won’t fit. They said I would have to go with a more expensive unit or get a smaller one, although ultimately none of this was correct. I refused again and they said they would call me back in a couple minutes after they confirmed with a master plumber that they could make it work. Well they never called me back and I ultimately lost another day waiting for them to call or come back. I finally called them back and canceled all together. What a joke.

DRF was the best choice for our water heater installation needs. They explained everything very clearly and thoroughly. They left their workspace as clean as it was when they arrived. Andy was the main installer and the one that I had most interaction with. Jesse was a capable side kick that explained our extras such as carbon monoxide detector and water warning device at the end. They were very efficient, on time, and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to a friend or family member.

It was a very unpleasant Sunday evening when I realized that my 14-year-old water heater had finally given up the ghost and had begun leaking. With 90 minutes to go until closing time, I ran to Home Depot and chose a new unit. Home Depot connected me with DRF Plumbing, their recommended installer in my area. By 9:00 the next morning, Andrew and Scott had arrived with my new water heater. They were extremely polite and professional, explaining everything very clearly and answering all my questions. As they were doing the installation, the utility company arrived to install our new gas meter. Things could have gotten a little crazy at that point, but Andrew and Scott worked with the gas company workers to make sure everything was completed and checked after the gas came back on. They cleaned the area where they'd been working and finished the installation within 2 hours. I was very impressed with them and the quality of their work, and I felt the charges for their labor were reasonable and fair. They made my Monday morning much better than my Sunday evening, for sure! I would definitely recommend this company.
