Having an older home we were unsure what new systems would be available. Paul Cherry, Service Manager, came to the house and reviewed what we currently had. He was very professional and assured me that the new system would greatly improve the consistency of our heating and cooling.
The day of installation, the crew arrived exactly on time. They spread tarps throughout the house and even on our deck. Paul & Dan worked 8 hour straight. Paul worked to get the new thermostat on line & patiently explained the system to me. They were very professional and efficient. The crew cleaned everything before leaving. I am extremely happy with the new system and the service Magtek provided.

The technician explained step-by-step the process while servicing & cleaning our A/C unit. He was professional, knowledgeable and answered / addressed all of my questions and concerns. He provided tips to maintain and or extend the life of our A/C.

I had Darryl from Magtek Mechanical come out for an estimate to replace my two furnaces, two AC units along and two Aprilair humidifiers. Darryl's knowledge, recommendations, pricing and references are why we had chosen Magtek Mechanical. Their techs Sam and Matt did the installation and I could not be more satisfied. They are true mechanics, their attention to detail and respect for my home was evident from the moment they started the Job. Yesterday, as some of you are aware we had an outage in the Manhattan/Elwood area. It turned out to be an electrical issue that disabled some of our equipment, including our air conditioner. After exchanging burnt components in the unit we still could not restore the airflow to our tower site. As you can imagine, and with all the equipment we need to run a cable system, air conditioning is highly important. The amount of heat our headend generates without air damages most electrical equipment. By 7pm, when we started calling around for HVAC companies to help us further troubleshoot, we didn’t get very far at that time of night. Then I remembered Dan Caspers (from Manhattans Weather channel) post about Magtek Mechanical. I called them and within minutes their tech Paul called me back. After trying to diagnose for a few minutes over the phone, he said he was on his way. Within 20 minutes Paul was there and diagnosing the problem. He spent a little less than an hour and had it up and running! I always support local businesses and I have come to find out the owners live in Manhattan and Paul lives in Elwood which was the icing on the cake. Thank you Paul and Magtek for speedy professional service.

We had our A/C and furnace replaced and are 100% satisfied with the service, quality and overall value. It’s rare these days to find a business where ALL the employees are knowledgeable and take ownership in their work, and that’s what we experienced. We will absolutely use them in the future.

Johnathon provided superior service in my annual A/C clean/check. He is efficient, honest, and knowledgeable and always provides handy tips re: furnace/airconditioner maintenance. In addition, he is kind and respectful which is so very appreciated.
