GMS Heating & Cooling

I needed a gas valve for my furnace. Most heating and cooling places will not sell to consumers unless your a contractor. I came in one evening and Ed the owner provided me some advice on how to troubleshoot the problem before needing to buy a part. Ultimately, the gas valve needed replacement and Ed was able to aquire the part quickly and priced it reasonably. The biggest take away from the whole experience is that Ed is a very honest and helpful person. He provides excellent customer service which is hard to come by these days. I really recommend using GMS HVAC services.

I live in Morton Grove and also have a rental home here. I have been using another company for my HVAC needs but decided to give GMS a try for my rental home for an A/C tune up as it has been a few years and they quoted me a little cheaper.

So the owner comes today for the tune up and inspects everything and tells me everything seems in good order after we chit chat for a bit. He spends about 15 minutes thoroughly cleaning my A/c unit outside and tells me everything else looks good. “No charge”.

He easily could have told me I needed a new something or other but not only did he not try to screw me he didn’t charge me for the tune up which was normally $69. I am switching both houses to GMS for all my future needs because good honest people are hard to come by and he’s local and has operated in Morton grove for many years. If you ever need service or anything for your HVAC please call GMS!

GMS is extremely skilled, reliable, and affordable. Ed and Glenn always respond promptly and go out of their way to immediately address your problem. They will not sell you anything or do work you don’t absolutely need. They fixed our AC on a hot Friday night on short notice. Cannot recommend this company enough.

Used GMS for install of new ac and heating unit. Ed and his team are very professional and timely. Great prices and amazing work. Will definitely use them for all future projects as well.

In the middle of the hottest summer in a few years, we have AC issues and we did not want to deal with Skokie Valley anymore so we called GMS. GMS said they were swamped (all the companies did) however GMS said you are 4 blocks away, we will find time to stop over and take a look. Ed from GMS came over, took a look and said i have a game plan, will you be around tonight? I said, yes! Glen from GMS came over that night and the problem was fixed! Both guys from GMS were patient, they explained what they were doing and what their thought process was, and they made me feel like they actually cared about my situation. Would definitely recommend GMS!!!

Honest company and provide quality work at tough to beat prices. Glenn and Ed seem to always do what is right by the customer and not try to force people into purchasing things they won't need. I highly recommend them for all your HVAC install and service needs.

Heat stopped working around 8 at night. Called GMS and spoke to Ed. He had a technician at my door in half an hour. Great work and great price. I'm definitely a lifetime customer.

I was having issues with my furnace and decided to give this place a call. They were so willing to help and even recommended stuff I could try before having to spend money on an actual visit. Not only that, when it did come to needing help, the technician was polite and willing to explain everything. He did exactly what needed to be done to fix my issue and gave me advice to help prevent any future issues. I was impressed with this place and will not hesitate to do business with them in the future if the need arises.
