I am writing a review about outstanding service from Daren at P&P Heating and Cooling Service, Mahomet, Illinois. We have an American Standard furnace that is 9 years old (originally installed by a different, now-defunct heating company). I became suspicious of the aging inducer motor as it was loud and, suddenly one cold day, we were no longer getting heat and the red-green LED indicator lights on the furnace were flashing a code for service. For HVAC service, there are many providers in our area, but we went with one based on a recommendation of a family we know—we chose to try P&P Heating and Cooling Service. Scheduling was easy with great help from office manager, Stephanie, and we met Daren as he arrived, right on time, to help us out. Within a few minutes, he confirmed the diagnosis of a bad inducer and left to get one from his warehouse. A few minutes later, Daren called me and told me great news: he had the exact motor needed for my furnace (so we didn’t have to wait for an ordered motor) and, in the meantime, he contacted American Standard directly for us and had the new motor covered under our American Standard warranty! He went above-and-beyond, in our minds, by doing this for us.

I sincerely feel that Daren treated us with the same honest care--including checking the warranty coverage--that he would provide for himself or his own family. We are extremely pleased with our first experience with P&P, and will call on them for our service needs going forward. One day, all of us homeowners will be in need of service, and it is then that the value of a reliable and honest local provider becomes crucial. Our family has found that with Daren from P&P Heating and Cooling.

My husband and I bought our house a few years ago and every winter our heat bills skyrocket to $600! We have called other companies and also had ameren come out and audit our home to try and figure out the problem. We were beyond frustrated considering the only option we were ever given was to buy a new furnace. As a last resort we called p&p and they came out and did a full assessment. Immediately they found 3 problems that should've been a no brainer for the other companies had they done a thorough assessment of our system. Not only did they fix it for a fraction of what it would've cost us to replace our furnace but they were kind, professional, and speedy! Thank you guys very much for your time and care! I have used P&P Heating & Cooling for many years (at my personal home plus various rental properties). P&P has continued to provide excellent service every time. Calling on P&P when needed is money well spent.

The blower on my ac/heater is very loud. I can not hear my tv over the motor when it kicks on. Was told that is how all trailers sound. I lived in a trailer for years and never was loud. Still cost even though they couldn't fix it. The guy tested the voltage and said was ok.

Just had them replace furnace and air. Good price and great people to work with! On time and high quality work. Everyone was great to deal with. Highly recommend Chuck and his staff!!

When my old furnace took a dump, Steve, with P&P switched it out to a new heat pump system that is running more efficiently and saving me money on my outrageous power bill. My home is way more comfortable in the summer and my power bill went down at least $100 per month!

I was in Chicago and needed maintenance in Champaign on an 80 year old boiler, so I cold-called P&P. They were highly responsive, easy to talk to on the phone, and did a thorough job checking out the system. A pleasure to work with.

P & P was terriffic at installing a new blower motor on the furnace in one of my rental properties in Mahomet. Since I live out of state, finding a reputable and honest home repair company is just rolling the dice. I got lucky with P & P Heating/Cooling, because Chuck Thompson the owner got out to the property that day and put in a new motor on the furnace blower so the tenants would have heat in a time when the temperature was suppose to drop drastically. His price was more than fair for an hourly rate and a new motor. Great job Chuck, keep up the good work.
