Came out to check out a tankless water heater that stopped working. I figured it may need to be replaced since it was an old unit. I was told parts for the unit were going to be difficult to obtain and may not be readily available. So I asked for an estimate for new install. Now I’m just waiting for the estimate.

I had a great overall experience replacing a broken 25-year-old boiler with a new high efficiency condensing boiler. Jerry provided a detailed estimate and took the time to discuss multiple brands and pros and cons with traditional versus high efficiency units. My experience getting quotes with other HVAC contractors was very different. Most would only provide a verbal ballpark and 2 other quotes for condensing units came in almost twice as high. Ultimately we decided on a high efficiency wall mounted unit that opened up a ton of space in my small basement giving me effectively an extra closet. The team did a great job with the removal and installation which is a big task. The piping was tight and clean, minimizing the footprint and they left the space clean after a pretty messy job. They took the extra time to walk me through some of the more advanced aspects of a modern boiler with Wi-Fi monitoring, outdoor temperature control, and made sure it worked cleanly with my existing thermostat. I will definitely be working with JC Heating and Cooling for any maintenance (they can monitor any errors in my system remotely) and future HVAC needs.
