The only person at that company worth anything in that business is Colin. Dittmar and Kevin the owners are the rudest, most mysogynistic most disrespectful people I've ever contracted with in my life. I had a new heat pump installed and they were contracted to also correct some existing piping problems with the existing relatively new boiler at a combined cost of over $22,000.00. Kevin was rude beyond belief. When any questions were asked or something that wasn't installed properly or worse not to code which was the case with the conduit they installed for electrical, and then pointed out, Kevin became outright despicable. They corrected it but I paid the price for knowing code and how it was agreed to be installed in the first place. I am an architect with 30 years of interior architecture and design experience. I don't have one bad review or complaint in that time. I may not know everything but I expect a company to at the very least, be respectful and decent. There work was ok but they didn't finish the details that would have completed the job properly. Once they were paid it was goodbye, we are done with you, and good luck getting them back! Don't use them if you need them to come back to correct something or just simply finish a job. And especially don't them use if you want any type of professionalism and any respect as the consumer. It won't be pretty if you do.

I moved into a building and the pumps on the boiler system were failing causing all sorts of noise in our first floor apartment. Steve and Colin from Stoker managed it all and fixed the issues. Just as important their professional courtesy and caring of a resident was phenomenal. I highly recommend the company and professionals who work there.

William Stoker heating is staffed by a bunch of first-round draft picks--starting with Dittmar & Steve. These two are surrounded by highly-trained team of professionals: Juan and his crew showed up at the 3-flat we live in to remove the deteriorated, unreliable boiler. It was an amazingly clean and surgical removal; Jose, David, and Kevin were there for the next two days making sure the boiler would be installed before the cold snap took hold--they connected the pipes and added new shutoffs with skill and exactness that sacrifices neither form nor function; Andrew came to hook up the electrical on Saturday afternoon and stayed until after 8:30PM on a Saturday night to ensure we had heat! Above and beyond, but very much appreciated. Bottom line--they are an amazing crew of great humans who happen to be the ultimate boiler whisperers. Look no further, this is your heating company.

Williams Stoker has been repairing and maintaining the one-pipe steam boilers at my two apartment buildings since 1994. The first year they recommended and installed a new control system that saved about 30% natural gas consumption. They have since replaced failed sections in the older Weil McLean cast iron boilers at both properties. Their pricing is fair, work is excellent and I would not hesitate to call on them to replace these boilers when the time comes.

I had such a great experience with this company and will be a lifelong customer. My steam boiler stopped working on a Wed night in January (it was really cold out). The place that had maintained it came out, said the tank was cracked and that it would be $14k to install a new one, which they couldn't do until Monday/Tuesday (4 days later). When I called Williams Stoker on Thursday morning Andrew told me he would see what he could do. He found a unit for me (they called after hours because they knew the distributor) and had it installed by late Friday evening. They were thousands less and had it working in 36 hours. Amazing!! The installers Louis and Davis stayed until 8 pm to get it finished that night. Everyone that I worked with through the process was really honest and knowledgable. They did follow-up work later to get a final radiator working at no charge. This company was recommended to me by friends and I'm honestly so grateful that I found them. When your house is cold suddenly, you really are vulnerable to being taken advantage of. I have so much respect for all the folks at this company for treating me fairly and with a lot of kindness in my hour of need.

Isaac was a rockstar! Followed up on another companies repair job and discovered why the condensation pump was functioning but the system as a whole was not working! During that also solved a 20 year mystery that had others from his company and several others stumped and then told us about a Peoples Gas rebate to fix the problem!

About three months ago in December our water heater stopped functioning for our apartment. We hired a different Agency called ABC plumbing. They said there was problems with the copper wiring among other things. It cost more than $1000 to fix. Three months later our water heater broke down again. ABC said it was under warranty but when they came out they said there was a problem with a valve and they wanted to charge us $800 to fix it or 2000 to replace the water heater. Instead we I called William Stoker. They said there was just dust clogging our unit. they fixed it quickly and charged us just $180 for the visit. That’s the second time they’ve helped us and they’ve done a great job both times for a good price. I find them to be professional and honest!
