Bruce from Mike Williams came out to my house this morning for normal maintenance check. I greatly appreciate the level of detail he went through when performing the check and patiently answering all of the questions I had and walking me through the tasks he was performing. The customer service he displayed was truly remarkable and look forward to working with him on future needs.

Very friendly on the phone. Agreed to come out and repair faucet for $79. When they came out, they charged over $600 to replace simple bath faucet. They signed us up for "service plan" for $8.25/month and did not tell us. When we asked about the charges, they said they had verbal approval for the service plan, but did not have a name of the person that signed us up, or a signature. However, they require a signed letter in order to cancel. They say the signature is required by the "Illinois State of Insurance", (does not exist), that they cannot cancel service without a signature.
3 weeks later and they are still charging us the $8.25/month for doing nothing!

Clayton goes above and beyond to make his customer comfortable..He takes time to make sure you understand what he has done..He took the cover off of my AC and asked if He could put it in the box on my porch. He gets all paws up🐾🐾🐾 from my 3 little ones..

Sam was extremely helpful and thorough. A very nice person, and he did a wonderful job for us. He caught a couple of issues with our furnace that needed fixing and we were very grateful for his most professional service.

Mike Williams came out to my mothers house not once but twice within 3 days in attempt to fix a leaky toilet. The first time they did not have the generator charged. The maintenance man found this out after accusing her of having bad outlets. After waiting over an hour another maintenance man brought out a charged generator. Finally the maintenance man was able to reset the toilet. Two days after he left she was right back where it started with a leaky toilet. She called Mike Williams and they came out to correct the leaky toilet. Once again the maintenance man reset the toilet and left. This time a hour later she had a leaky toilet. At this point she called another plumber who was successful at fixing the problem in one trip at less than a third of the price of Mike Williams. Also be warned as Mike Williams will sign you up and charge you for a maintenance agreement that you did not agree too. The paperwork was completed in the car rather than with my senior mother.

e have a maintenance agreement with Mike Williams. They installed our water heater in 2014, and come out twice a year to make sure our plumbing and air conditioning systems are in good working order.
They make recommendations of things we need to fix. Often they are minor things my husband can fix (and they don't complain that he fixes them, rather than their company). Things we can;t fix, they repair immediately.
They are always nice, and I appreciate that they wear booties to protect my floors.

Ricky, was the service technician sent when our air conditioner was not working. He diagnosed the problem and advised how it could corrected, very fast and efficiently repaired the air conditioner. He was very professional, and we would definitely, be glad to have him service our heating/cooling system again.

Main sewer line was backed up. Called Mike Williams to clear it out, and the technician tried to clear it and then told me that my sewer line was misaligned or crushed and I would have to get it replaced. The technician wanted to charge me $580 to unsuccessfully clear out my line, and tried to justify it by saying that it would count towards replacing the sewer line (which he claimed averaged $20,000). I called Schoonover to come out the next day and they had it cleared and working properly in 45 minutes, and charged $135.
Edit: There is a new response to this review that says:
"Sheldon - Just wanted to follow up and thank you for speaking with one of our customer service representatives in regards to your concern. I am happy to learn we were able to take care of everything to your satisfaction. We really appreciate the opportunity to make things right!"
I never contacted Mike Williams again, and nothing was taken care of to my satisfaction.

I'm going to tell you how my interaction went with Mike Williams and you can decide if you want to spend your money with this company.
On 2/20, I realized my sump pump stopped working and there was a pipe leaking in my basement. Carpet is pretty saturated and starting to spread throughout the room. I call and they inform me there is a $150 trip fee. Seemed high, but it's after hours and I need to get this fixed, so i approved it.
They determined the sump pump and a valve in another pipe needed to be replaced. Total charge was $1,344.25 ($700 for the sump, $400 for the valve replacement on the other pipe, and $150 trip fee). The home is about 10 years old. There is easy access to the sump pump and valve.
Since I was basically stuck between a rock and hard place, I agreed to have them do the work after they waived the trip fee. Total ended up being $1,194.25. BTW, the only way to get this price is to pay $8.25 a month for 6 months. If you don't do that the sump pump is $900 and the valve $600.
Two guys did the work. Probably spent less than an hour total. There may be some time in there for them to gather supplies, travel, etc.
Today, I called Mike Williams again to get a quote on replacing the back-up sump. Total price is $1,192. I called Rich's plumbing for a quote and their price is $425.00.
Normally, I work with Rich's Plumbing. Based on my experience with them, their prices are fair and they will back up their work. I called Williams today, because of the $8.25 I'm paying a month to get discounted pricing. It really feels like I was taken advantage of, but that's life. Live and learn. Putting the facts and numbers out there, so you can decide if they deserve your business. The choice seems obvious.
As a FYI, I spoke with someone that works for a another company. Big firm. Mechanical Contractor. When I told him what I paid, he was stunned. and couldn't believe the charge.

Ryan and Mohammad were the ideal technicians - efficient, dependable, informative, and polite. Although they had to work in dirty, hot, and confined spaces for far longer than expected, they dealt calmly and patiently with these adverse conditions. We could not be more pleased with the final outcome of their efforts. Thank you, thank you.
