    They installed a direct vent insert into a stone fireplace. Also a gas log in lower level fireplace. The insert was a very tough installation and required much thought, time and patience. They stuck to their quoted price, invested the amount of time needed to finish the job correctly. I highly recommend. This caliber of workmanship and integrity are hard to find today.

    Excellent service! Tiger Plumbing talked their way into my mom's to do a 'free' inspection late on a Saturday afternoon. Inspection found a slight gas leak at a joint so they turned off gas to house and told me they'd get us fixed right away for an enormous fee. When I told them I'd look for a second opinion they got upset and left. Called and got Barrett's on-call engineer who was there within an hour. Applied a temporary fix to get my mom through the weekend. They came back on Tuesday and resealed the entire gas line at third of what Tiger wanted. If you have to use Tiger, never let them talk you into doing a 'free' inspection late in the day and never ever on weekends. Thanks Barrett's, for being there and being fair!

Very impressed with this company and their staff, couldn't ask for better professional treatment. Did my installation same day, cleaned everything up afterwards, I didn't have to do anything but enjoy the new furnace. Highly impressed with their knowledge and professionalism.

    My furnace went out yesterday morning and being new to Alton didn't know who to call. Well I'm fortunate I called Barrett Heating & Cooling. Within 24 hours they diagnosed my issue and had a new part installed. Thank you! I'll definitely call for future serivce.

    AC went out last night, and I found a bad capacitor. Today, LABOR DAY, high of 95, I called Barrett's voice mail and Joe called me back in just a few minutes. Joe checked his truck and called me right back and provided the part! I am happy and cool!

    I had a great experience with a younger employee and on a separate occurrence I had a bad experience with an older employee. The older gentleman wanted to declare a newer Wifi connected thermostat was "bad" and refused to even look at it. A complaint to hos manager got me the younger tech who also acknowledged the older guy was a pain to deal with.
