I can't be positive enough about the quick response and service we have received from J&D. Our furnace went out on a Sunday and they had someone out within an hour. The furnace was diagnosed and determined to be beyond repair and they got us up and running in a couple of days, even during peak heat season and other commitments to other clients. Adam was honest with us about our options and worked with us on financing. James and Drew, the installers, did a great job. They were on time, did a very professional job of installation, were very good about walking us through the particulars of the new system and really cleaned up the worksite better than expected. Even though we had used J&D years ago, we hadn't for a number of years because we had an in house HVC relative. Now that he is retired J&D will once again be the only company we use. Well done!!!

A gentleman by the name of Adam arrived at our home within two hours of my initial call for help, it was on a Monday morning and we had no heat.

Adam listened to my description as to what was going on and what I had tried to do to get it to work. He then began to disassemble the heater to gain access to things I knew nothing about and took videos of the interior so that I could see what was going on inside. A number of things were not working properly,' the mother board and the heater exchanger were both not working correctly. The heater and AC were both over twenty years old. With Adam's explanation of my options I knew that I did not want to change the heater and keep an old AC unit; too many things were interconnected.

I asked if they also installed water heaters, so that was added to the list of thing to replace. Adam noticed that there was a lot of dust in my garage. I'm a wood worker; so we talked about an air scrubber, and I decided that it would be a good option. Adam said that he could have an installation crew at my house Wednesday morning by 8:30.

On Wednesday morning I received a call from James B. that they were on the way. At 8:30 a truck and van were backing into my driveway. I met with James and Drew and we went over their plans. I asked what I needed to do and they said I had to do nothing.

James and Drew went to work and other than a short break for a snack, they did not stop until they were finished. It was a long day. They had everything installed and working with the exception of the AC startup, which could not be done because of the outside temperature. They left at 11:00 pm.

They came back for the AC startup at their first opportunity. The diligence of James and Drew was impressive. They were great guys
and went out of their way to explain everything to my wife and me. We had heat and hot water before they left, and they cleaned and hauled away everything that was old.

J&D was amazing from start to finish. We had several employee's help us through the process of purchasing and installing our new Air conditioner and Furnace. Kenny W. and Chris S started us through this adventure, they were both very knowledgeable and friendly. They walked us through the steps of what would happen next. They returned a couple months later and again helped us with our furnace purchase. Again, very friendly and knowledgeable. The installer team for both the Air conditioner and Furnace where awesome as well. they walked us through what they were doing at every step and then walked us through our systems and how we should use it to get the most bang for our buck. Kane and Ryan were the installers for the latest purchase of the furnace. They did amazing, 4 hours in and out. Thanks J&D, we will forever be customers.

J&D offers a $59 inspection "tune-up" or $49 if you join their YCL membership. I asked J&D to inspect my 3-yr old AC system. Unfortunately I discovered that I was quoted unnecessary repairs. The technician came out and did a thorough inspection and wrote up recommendations with pricing. The whole visit took approximately 3 hrs. I had trouble getting pricing confirmation from the office, who actually increased what I was quoted the day of the inspection. When I confronted her about it she said they had installed a new computer software system and were having problems due to data entry. I obtained an alternate quote from a competitor and it was apparent that I was being overcharged about 300% for refrigerant. Then I received a second opinion from another reputable competitor who laughed at J&D's recommendations and said that there was nothing wrong with my system. What really angers me is that the J&D technician let out refrigerant charge by depressing the service schrader valve then claimed that the valve was defective. The competitor also explained how the testing that was performed by J&D was incorrect. J&D offers "YCL" membership pricing and non-YCL pricing but there is no way they can make up for the steep (20%) discounts; the inspections do not even cover the technician's time. I can only conclude that their business plan is to underwrite the cost of the inspection by overcharging for unnecessary repairs. Very disappointing. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

I’ve been working with J&D for many years, and I continue to be impressed by their conscientiousness, professionalism and skill. Not only do they do a thorough job of examining the furnace and AC for any possible deterioration, they also are kind enough to replace the filter and provide information for better usage of the units.
