I called J&D from recommendations to service our AC; we had no problems at all with it cooling our home. We just wanted to make sure everything was in correct working order staying ahead of possible problems. Kenny arrived and immediately discussed not being a salesperson “just a service tech.” Upon looking at our unit he states it is 15 to 20 years old, which it is 6 years old after further research. He also states we have huge problems since there was frost on the coils, and we needed a new unit. He offered band aid fixes ranging from $1,500 to $3,500 or get a $15,000 brand new unit. My husband on the phone and me six months pregnant, we stated we would discuss the unit with previous homeowners and decide. Kenny admittedly told me not turn the unit back on or the fan would blow. It was 103 out that day being pregnant and alone, I became worried. Kenny then left; I did attempt to turn the unit back on. The outside blower started after I flipped breaker, but the inside fan breaker was left “on” and would not start. No air was blowing in the house, the AC unit was suddenly not working. I called a friend who knew of a local guy who came right over, he found the fan had a wire that was “not connected.” The fan was trying to kick on but was unable because of the “disconnected wire” and the motor was overheating. I found this very odd when it was working just fine before Kenny arrived. The wonderful local man fixed the “problem” and our AC is running fine with no frost on the coils? Kenny truly seems to be a scam artist. I would not trust this company they want your money; it appears they are doing whatever it takes to make a profit.

I was very pleased with Jens" service. He was knowledgeable and helpful with explanations of options that we had with future service plans and purchases. His low key approach and friendliness were convincing. Always have good service with J&D.

Jens was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He came out to our house at 8pm and left after 9pm. We needed a new mother board. He checked to see if our furnace was under warranty. It was. We still had to pay for installation, but it was less than it would have been. He finished installing the new mother board, cleaned up and was gone quickly. I will definitely call J and D again and I will ask for Jens. Thanks Jens.

Jens did an awesome job. On his first trip out to the house he spent quite a bit of his time testing different theories as to what might have been wrong with my water heater, making sure I didn’t end up paying for repairs I didn’t need. In the end he diagnosed the problem and had it fixed as fast as possible.

Always friendly service techs..informative and not pushy with selling additional products..the office staff is great to work with too!

Nick provided outstanding service and cleaned the blower and A/C unit, checking out the entire system. We are thankful for J&D service now for more than five years, knowing we are getting maximum life out of our HVAC system.
