Self Heating & Cooling

As a property manager, I am using Self Heating & Cooling as my go-to HVAC vendor. They (usually Kelly) respond quickly to my maintenance requests, and make contact with the residents/tenants of the property in need, within the time frame I require. Their tech will often call me from site with suggested solutions and repair options. Prices are reasonable and reliability is top notch. I am extremely happy with their services and will continue to use Self Heating & Cooling whenever I can.

Our HVAC guy retired and we were referred to John. Our unit went out after office hours and he called us regardless and walked me through how to fix it myself. When we couldn’t fix it, his tech Chad came out and was incredibly helpful and honest. He tried everything to save us money. I highly recommend them!

I called them when I had paint bubbling under my uninsulated HVAC ducts, which I suspected was from condensation on the ducts. They came out and took a look, gave me an honest opinion and didn't take the easy opportunity to sell me on the expensive project of cutting open the ceiling to insulate the ducts. They said it was probably just a one-time thing and then didn't even charge me the diagnostic fee I was expecting. That was a few months ago, and I haven't had any more problems so I think they were right. It takes a very honest business to come out for free and then not try to sell anything.

I feel it was a blessing to have found them.
MY AC went out the hottest week in August. From the moment Kelly answered the phone the care and concern for me and how to get me cool was genuine. She had said if they can get the unit going they would see what they could do and if it turned out I needed a new unit they had portable unit they could leave until installation. Chad came out to see what was going on with my unit. He said the motor was gone, he could put a motor in and we discussed all options. Since the AC unit was a 20 year old unit with numerous parts already attached, I opted for a new unit. Chad still put a motor in the current unit to keep it running until they could install the new unit. Talk about Service this company has the old fashioned values and true care and concern for their customers which is rare to find these days. The quote was very fair. The service men were timely professional and as I popped outside from time to time to check on them (offer water to drink) I noticed they were meticulous with what they were doing. Having your AC go out at the hottest time of year is stressful for many reasons. It was very refreshing to find a company whose people shine in every area of taking care of their customer. I recently contacted Self HVAC for service. Chad himself came and inspected my unit and the service in question. He did some minor adjustments and gave suggestions at no charge. I received a quote for the work and had great followup from the office and schedulers. When the required a bit of extra work per the technician the final bill was true to the estimate. The quality of work was excellent and the company proved itself ethical. 5+ stars!

My air conditioner stopped working the night before temperatures were going to be in excess of 100 degrees. I called Self Heating and Cooling the next morning and John fit me into his schedule for that day, even though they were understandably very busy. He was very professional and was able to fix the problem and get my AC working immediately. This is an experienced, reputable company who I would definitely call again and would recommend to anyone.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Setting up the appointment was super easy and the technician arrived early. I have had some really bad experiences with service techs in the recent past. It was refreshing to experience this level of professionalism! The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. The pricing was also more than fair. Self will definitely be the first number I call in the future if I have any HVAC needs.

Self is just fantastic. I have used them for many years, and no matter what the issue they go out of their way to get to you ASAP, are helpful to tell you what is going on, and pricing is always very fair. I would recommend them to anyone!

After a bad experience with another company, I took my daughter’s recommendation and called them. They met the highest standards of professionalism and charged a little more than one half the amount my previous provider wanted to charge for replacing a coil.
