My home warranty set me up with this company. They called me and asked if I was available the next morning at 8am. I said yes. Woke up at 7:30 and waited. Called them at 8:30 they tell me that the driver is running a bit behind but will be here at 9. 9:30 gets here I call and explain I have things to do, they tell me go ahead and do what I need to do as “it’s going to be a while” the technician ended up getting here at almost 1pm! He gets here and was very nice. Comes in and doesn’t even attempt to turn my heat on, before asking for my credit card information. I explain what the issue is and he tells me he needs to rewire my thermostat but needs to call the Home warranty to make sure that they will pay what he’s charging. I follow him to his truck and he gets the wiring and then comes back upstairs. And then ask him if he wants to hear what the heater is doing before he decides what is wrong with my system and he is shocked and says yes let’s hear what it’s doing. He then tells me that he needs to do a re-wire and that my capacitor needs to be replaced but he would call the warranty company to make sure they covered it. I get a call from my home warranty company telling me that he told them that I needed my thermostat fixed. Which is not what I needed nor what he told me I needed. This is when things started getting sketchy. He comes back inside of my unit and tells me that the home warranty will not cover it and that it’s going to cost me $390. I explained that the whole reason for me to have the warranty was so that I wouldn’t have to pay all of this money and then I couldn’t afford it. Then after a few moments of literally scratching his head and his chin he turns to me and says well if you have $100 I can do it for you. I was very sketched out and I thought this was so unprofessional. I asked him to leave. I had another company come out today. They literally told me all I needed was a little bit of Freon in my system. They added the Freon in my heater begin to work immediately. I am so glad that I trusted my God and ask the gentleman to leave my house before he replaced unnecessary items costing me an arm and a leg. Do not trust these guys to fix your systems. I will say the receptionist were very professional and polite and I did call to tell them what their tech did.
