I had very high electric bills at one location and by simply adding Freon and cleaning the outdoor units my bills are almost half! I was having hot spots in another location and they added another vent and now the house has much better/even flow. They are very reliable, nice to work with, and reasonably priced. I will use them for all of my future business and personal HVAC needs. A++

First time customer and I am very impressed. The technician was on time and did a great job explaining what he did at my home for routine maintenance on my heating and Air condition units. Glad I found this company!

John was excellent. I called on the 4th of July after a strong storm knocked out my A/C. He answers the phone, visits my home promptly at 7:30 am the next day, and fixed the problem in minutes. He found a minor problem and fixed it on the spot. So minor that I think many other companies would have missed the problem and sold me a costly control module. Thanks so much John!

I found this service searching "affordable HVAC repair" mentally hoping that it will not cost a lot. I was surprised that it really did not cost me a lot. The service was done quick ( none forced me to buy anything like some plumbing services do) and in the end I was pleasantly surprised as it costed me over $100 ( including service call).
It's not easy to find a good service when something brakes especially when you did not plan ahead and service needs be done ASAP. I will definitely keep this service number for any unexpected situations which always happen.

Our AC went out a couple weeks ago (would turn on and the fan would run but only hot air came out). After doing some research we decided to go with Comfort Atlanta because of the great reviews. Andrew showed up on time, and after checking the unit, determined that there was a leak, and it likely was within the evaporator coil in the attic. Here’s where things start to go south, because the first thing out of his mouth was that the entire unit needed to be replaced.

Naturally, I began to ask questions. I knew the outside AC unit was only 7 years old and functioning just fine, and he confirmed as much when I brought it up, but he said the evaporator coil in the attic was older than that--that the previous owners probably only replaced the outside unit, and that's likely why there was an issue (this is important later). When I asked if just the evaporator coil could be replaced and how much it would cost, he deflected and said they don't usually give quotes for that and it would be better to install a whole new unit (gave me some story about how the two systems "talk" to each other). When I asked if he was sure it was the evaporator coil, and not a leak down the line or something, he said a separate visit would have to be scheduled and it would cost an additional $150 for him to come out and do a test on another day.

First—why would he not have that equipment with him on his truck, in case such a test needed to be done? How does he know, then, that there’s a leak, and how bad it is, if he hasn’t even tested it, because he apparently doesn’t keep that equipment with him? Sounds suspiciously like a ruse to get more money out of someone, doesn’t it?

Second—he said he would send over quotes in a couple days (mind you, sitting in 83+ degree heat so some serious lack of courtesy or concern there) and “would see” if they would just send a quote to replace the evaporator coil, but was still more or less refusing that they even did such a thing—we never got those quotes.

Lastly—he bold-faced LIED about the evaporator coil being older than the outside unit; they were both 7 years old. We went up and checked it ourselves, and called another company recommended by a friend (Accuair) to come out and look to confirm. By the way, Accuair tested and refilled the AC unit with refrigerant for free, and quoted us and replaced the evaporator coil with no hassle at all. Also offered to bring a window unit for us in the interim, so we didn’t spend the weekend totally miserable.

All of that, by the way, and Andrew still took the time to try to sell me their maintenance plan! What a joke. Charged $230 to “look” at it (since he didn’t scan for leaks, obviously) and refill it with refrigerant.

If you aren’t convinced not to use these guys at this point, I’ll be clear: save your money and your time, and look elsewhere. Comfort Atlanta seems to be another of a long list of contractors who try to mislead and take advantage of people who will just take them at the word—which is an absolutely deplorable way to run a business. I will never use them again, and I’ve already warned all my friends and family to steer clear of them.

I called several HVAC company and none could come for several days, I hit gold when I called Comfort Atlanta! John answered the phone and said he would be there in about 30 minutes. After checking the A/C, he said the compressor was out of freon and the coil had a leak. to correct the problem, it would be best to install a new coil & compressor as freon was being replaced with a newer refrigerant. John stated he could be here tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock after agreeing on a price. He and a co-worker were here at 8 and 2 1/2 hours later they were finished and our home was cooling down. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who has an HVAC problem,

Top class work for the best price in the market. Believe me, l shopped around. Spoke with John the owner who is extremely courteous, prompt & experienced. He fixed a condensate line that was originally installed incorrectly by an inept AC installer.
Explained the job clearlyon the phone since I couldn't be there and did a splendid job.
Thanks
