Since the year 2001, I have been an Anchor HVAC repeat customer. This local company is hardcore ingrained in customer retention, customer satisfaction, customer honesty.
I had a natural gas bill that was a clip over $600 February 1999. Everyone in the house was wearing sweaters and we were all still cold. I couldn't afford to pay those high gas therm fees any longer and I researched why my bill was so high. It was a variety of reasons, one of which was my HVAC unit. It was old, inefficient and unable to provide comfort. I found Barry at Anchor.
2001 would be my last cold suffrage in the house. Barry and I agreed to instal a Geothermal unit. The following 19 years since, I MAY have paid $55 in a single month, one time, maybe. Typically the range is mid $40s. The retrofit instal is not cheap, it is not for the homeowner that is planning on moving in the next couple of years. But if you are in the home for at least 10 years, just read the rest of this review, just go and get it. The REI is legit.
Today at Anchor, my unit is under the governance of Hal. A terribly patient man, honest, intelligent and speaks the english I understand. The annual service may not seem necessary, so I would caution against any notion to dismiss it. The unit installed is not a problem child, but I know that the annual service is one reason why. So please incorporate a budget to accommodate your investment. Lastly, I am confident that any technician deployed to your home to service the unit is competent and more than qualified. For me, Doug is the go to Technician. He knows the unit, he is quick in assessment, he is thorough. Pick your technician and keep him.
This unit is powerful in regulating and supplementing my natural gas consumption. The unit heats my water tank for free during the warmer months of the year, reducing my natural gas usage. The summer months are hot, of course, this unit provides ample comfort cooling properties all summer long. I know I pay a third of what my neighbors pay in the summer as it relates to their electric bill.
It's the best several thousand dollars I ever spent on a home. It will sting, but before it's all over, you'll ask yourself why you waited.

I seldom write reviews, but I had to share this positive experience with potential Anchor customers.
In August 2021, I purchased two new HVAC systems from Anchor. One for upstairs and the second for downstairs. After interviewing five companies and performing my research, I decided to go with Anchor for this purchase. Their salesman (Allen Davis) was very professional and explained all available equipment options. I really appreciate his customer-centric approach. He listened to my requirements for the new system and recommended options that were in line with my budget.
The system was installed in August 2021 by a great install team (Cody and Todd). They were very meticulous and explained everything they were doing during the install. The install team even used drop cloths to protect my carpet from getting dirty. Once the system was installed, it worked perfectly without any issues until I used the furnace in late December.
When I used the furnace for the first few times, I noticed that it didn’t sound quite right. So, I observed it during a few cycles and realized that the burners were turning on for a few minutes and then shutting off. This cycle repeated itself multiple times until the thermostat reached the desired temperature I wanted in my home. During my observation, I noticed there was an error code (E04) flashing on the furnace’s circuit board. I checked the manual and it indicated this code was an “open temperature limit circuit” fault. From my research on the Internet, this fault is triggered when the furnace’s internal temperature reaches the max limit set by the factory. This is usually caused by a restriction of airflow. Most of my Internet research recommended changing the air filter to see if this would fix the issue. However, this didn’t work, so I called Anchor to come take a look.
This resulted in three service technicians (Larry, Micah, and Rusty) coming out to investigate and to troubleshoot the furnace. We tried a few things such as adjusting gas pressures for the burners, replacing an electronic damper, and even replacing thermostats. After exhausting our options, it was determined that my furnace was oversized. Initially, I had a 60K BTU furnace and the new furnace was rated at 80K BTU. Apparently, the new 80K BTU furnace was blowing too much heat and my ducts may have been a little undersized to handle this volume of airflow.
After following up with the service manager (David Bentley), he explained that I would need to have my furnace replaced with a 60K BTU two stage furnace to correct this issue. Initially, I was concerned that I would have to pay for the new furnace, but David assured me I wouldn’t, and that Anchor would make things right.
Once the new furnace arrived, the original team (Cody and Todd) completed the install. Similar to the first, they installed the furnace with great precision and care. Jeremy (service tech) tuned the system and set everything up to work perfectly. As of this review, I am happy to report that the new furnace is working well, and the E04 “open temperature limit circuit” fault is history.
Thank you Anchor for standing behind your products and workmanship! I am pleased with the resolution and look forward to doing more business with you in the future. You earned my trust. Thank you again for your professionalism!

I have called them to service my hvac system. 2 different technicians found different issues (few days apart). First technician said the capacitor needs to be replaced and the 2nd technicians told me that the whole system should be replaced. I have asked for a quote for the work to be done from the rep over the phone.
She mentioned that they would have to send a 3rd guy just to check the system and provide a quote. She was quite rude and did not give me the feeling that they appreciate my business.

Had a great experience with the technician (Frank) that came out today. I was all but certain that my compressor was done for, but Frank performed some hvac magic on my condenser unit with the sun beating on him at 90 plus degrees and got it going again. Truly a lifesaver. I will definitely make them my "go to" whenever I'm experiencing problems with any of my units.
