Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling

Charles is thorough, kind, and professional. He came by for a routine maintenance on our hvac system. He found a small problem and managed to fix it quickly. He answered all of my questions with expertise and a smile. I feel very comfortable knowing that Charles and comfort zone are taking great care of my home.

Comfort Zone sent someone out just One day after I called to request service! ! !
Back story:
Last night was the coldest night of the 2022 Winter and my new Daikin 2 Ton unit, installed last spring, has stopped working! The condensation from the Dual Fuel furnace froze up!

I called Comfort Zone last night and they said it would be 5 days before they could get to us! Wow!

There must have been a Christmas Miracle because this morning, after only one cold night, they sent Eugene who rerouted the water line so the system operates correctly.

Eugene, pictured here, climbed into the ceiling and fixed it all up! Now we are warming up!

Caleb was an excellent technician. He was very polite and professional. He did a fall maintenance on my units, changed filters and checked them inside and out. He did an excellent job! I highly recommend comfort heating and cooling. Great service!

They were hired by the manufacturer of my furnace to preform a manufacturer recall. Communications was great and the service tech was great in explaining what the recall did, how long it would take and any additional steps I had to do. I had a great experience.

UPDATE: On 10/06/22, Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling sent the same technician out to my home to check my unit. The technician arrived around 9:43 am. He spent about an hour at my home, alternating between the attic and outside. He said that the unit was working properly and couldn’t find the source of the problem. He explained that Goodman Manufacturing Company only contracts their company to replace the recall and that they are not required to test the A/C, and because of that, he had to charge a diagnostic fee. He stated he could reduce the fee from $75 to $25. He also tried to sell an annual maintenance plan. I paid the $25 fee because the A/C was now working, but declined the maintenance plan. On 10/07/22, I received calls from two unexpected calls from Denise, a representative from Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling, and Stacy, an owner of Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling. Both ladies were empathetic and apologized for my experience. They stated they would refund the $25 diagnostic fee.

While I do not believe I should have been charged a fee at all, I am happy that my A/C is working properly again. I am very appreciative that Denise and Stacy reached out to me to talk about my experience and to refund me. I updated this review to 3 stars, because Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling took the time to rectify the problem.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Goodman Manufacturing Company contracted Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling to replace a recalled evaporator coil drain pan. My appointment window was scheduled for 10/05/22 between the hours of 12:00 - 4:00pm. The technician arrived at 2:47pm. He was polite and professional. He explained what the repair was and that it would take about an hour and a half to complete. At 3:30pm, he came down from the attic and asked me to turn the heat on. I followed his instructions and switched my thermostat from cool to heat. The heater took a few minutes to start. The technician then went back upstairs in the attic. After a few minutes, he came back down and explained that the repair was complete and that I should not notice any difference with the unit. I immediately changed the thermostat back to cool, and left my house for a few hours. Once I returned home, I noticed that my thermostat was set at 68, but the temperature in the house was at 72. I lowered the thermostat to 67, but after 10 minutes, there was still no change in the temperature. I called Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling at 7:49pm to report the issue. The operator was sympathetic and apologized. She stated she would schedule someone to come back on 10/6/22. I then received an email and text message stating that I was scheduled for an appointment for 10/5/22. I called Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling back and reported the wrong appointment date. The operator apologized and confirmed that I was scheduled for 10/6/22. She called me back about 40 minutes later to say she had spoken with upper management, and they said that they didn’t do anything to my air conditioner unit, and that I would have to pay a diagnostic fee if a technician came back out to my house. I asked to speak to the manager, but she refused. She stated a manager wouldn’t be able to call me until tomorrow. It’s frustrating because there was nothing wrong with my AC prior to Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling replacing the evaporator coil drain pan. It’s insulting that they want me to pay to fix a problem that didn’t exist before they came.

The technician from Comfort Zone was very knowledgeable and really showed all the changes he was making. He walked me through the process. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism.

We always enjoy Comfort Zone. They are informative, quick, and efficient. Matthew is a great asset to the Comfort Zone team. He is super nice and knows his job well.
