Clockwork Heating & Air Conditioning

I picked this company more or less at random from a list of well reviewed HVAC folks. I was extremely impressed by first, the very personal service and secondly the quality of the installation. It’s a family run business and everyone seems very happy working for them. Our new system is exactly -or better- than described and I would fully recommend these guys.

I currently have an annual membership with Clockwork Heating and Air for a rental property in Athens, GA and my experiences with them have been FANTASTIC. The service technicians are professional and pleasant--and even more importantly--thorough; when I recently called about an A/C-related leak, my tech made a point to document everything with photos and then followed up with a phone call to walk me through each photo in order to outline the issue(s). The folks at Clockwork are incredibly responsive and I couldn't be happier with my experience!

Jesse D. is the best. The office called to let me know when he would get to my house, and even though it was close to 5:00 on a Monday, he took his time, was relaxed, congenial, and joking---great attitude. The a/c and furnace unit are under the house and he took several pictures and alerted me to a severe plumbing problem that I wouldn't have known about till the shower floor caved in underneath me. I'm super grateful to him for taking the time to look around at the entire crawlspace to check for other issues besides just checking on the a/c. A friend recommended Clockwork Heating & Air to me, and I recommend them to everybody now.

When our regular HVAC guy said he couldn't get to us for five 90-plus-degree days, I started looking on Facebook for a new service option...with only one criterion...who could get here that day? After reading many reviews praising Clockwork for their quick response time, I gave them a call. Jesse was here a couple of hours later. As it turned out, our system was terminally damaged...and Jesse walked us through our system replacement options with absolutely no pressure. In fact, he kept offering to go outside while my wife and I talked things over. After we decided on a new system, he topped off our leaky AC with enough refrigerant to get us through the weekend and Mack and his crew were here first thing in the morning on Monday to perform the install. Replacing the inside and outside components only took them a few hours and they were so tidy that after they left you would've never known they were here. We love our new Lennox HVAC system and we are happy to recommend Clockwork without hesitation.

We highly recommend this company!!! Superior knowledge, workmanship was incredible and the crew was amazing!!! Such a wonderful company to do business with that we had our 1st & 2nd AC replaced with them and when the 3rd unit goes we will definitely be calling Clockwork Heating & Air Conditioing. Save yourself a lot of stress with other companies and call Clockwork as this company is truly AMAZING! We just wish they did everything a house needs (painting, additions, roofs, etc) then I would only have to have their number to call. We are just so impressed with everything about Clockwork!!!

July 3, 2017: I had my AC fixed by them. They were not on time; neither did anybody told me until I called them back. Even worse, they charged me $290 for the refill that really ridiculously more than normal. (The other company charged me $90 last a couple of times.) They cleaned the unit also. Altogether they charged $545. So guys, this company is extremely greedy.
Do not do any business with them anymore.

They called me saying that they could give me a refund if I can remove my review here. But it never happened. Haha?

August 28, 2017: My AC stopped working again after fixed by this company for only less than two months. I called them for this and the lady told me they will not warrant on Freon leaking. What is the sense you filled the Freon last time and did not fix the leaking problem. Why do we do business with them? Forget about this company forever.....

August 31, 2017: I got the AC unit fixed by second company. My unit doesn't have heavy leaking problem. They replaced the contactor that should be replaced by Clockwork the first time. The cost is $252. So the total to fix this unit $797 that can be used to get a new unit. Two lessons are here.

1. Clockwork should replace the contactor the first time, this is critical for the unit to work properly; the cleaning and Freon may be necessary but not the key problems; adding 6-7 LB of Freon is totally a professional joke.
2. Any time the service company asks for a super high price, do not hesitate to pay them the trip and let them go.

Mr. Mack Sr. was incredibly professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He made sure everything was up and running and that I knew exactly what to do if the problem happened again. I will definitely call on them for our HVAC needs.

Even though we didn't use them for our repair (not an authorized company for our brand & out of regular coverage area), I would highly recommend. The staff was very helpful, my appointment was scheduled to fit around a last minute request, tech was efficient and knowledgeable, and efforts were made to cover under warranty.

We were introduced to Clockwork when our long time HVAC company decided to get out of the residential business. We have been extremely happy with Clockwork since we began dealing with them about a year ago. The previous company we used also did plumbing. I hope Clockwork adds that to their services at some time.

Had HVAC issues in 90 degree weather on a game day. Clockwork was extremely responsive and had a technician to the house within several hours. Mack C diagnosed the issue within minutes and AC was back running in less than 2 hours. Very knowledgable, courteous, and experienced. Highly recommend.
