AirNow - Ac Repair & Installation

Very good technician technically, but should have sent quotes for upgrades and improvements. Air Now came highly recommended but I do not feel I was treated fairly. The technician did his best to request from management that the appointment be discounted, the part was charged at a premium and they did not encourage the service agreement that the technician recommended.

I just had a very disturbing experience with Air Now. They contacted me after I looked on Angi, although their company didn't come up on the list. I had not called them, but the girl in the office was pleasant, and I saw their company on Google, so I scheduled a quote for insulation installation. All the information they need is the square footage of the attic, and if there is any existing insulation.
The technician, Greg, walked into my garage and as soon as he saw the a/c handler next to the attic access, he said he needed a picture of the serial numbers on my air handler! I told him he did not, as they were not going to be doing anything with my air conditioning. I told him to stop. He continued to take pictures.
He then tried to tell me he needed the tonnage of the a/c in order to quote the insulation installation, as they had to pull permit!
Permit is NOT required and info on the A/C unit is not required. I stated that and he continued to argue. I told him to leave, and that I wanted to see him delete the photos from his tablet. He ignored me and quickly uploaded them to his company as he was walking out.
I called the company to complain and was told that they do a free evaluation. I had not asked for, nor did I want an evaluation. I wanted a quote for blown in insulation. Nothing else. To quote for that all they needed was the square footage and to know if there is existing insulation to remove.
The girl apologized, and verified that he had uploaded pictures to them.
I asked her to delete them but of course have no idea if she did. But, I have to wonder why was the technician so desperate to get the serial number on my air conditioning? What are they going to do with it? Very creepy. And why was he insisting that they had to pull permit to install insulation when I already told him I knew they didn't! It left me very uncomfortable.
I don't usually write bad reviews but I felt the need to warn others. There is something not right here.

RJ was a very knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and prompt worker. He welcomed questions and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it in clear understandable terminology. He explained options and the benefits and cons, if they're were any, of each option. He explained every detail of the bill which was very reasonable. I highly recommend AirNow and especially RJ for all your air conditioning needs.

Installer Brian was on time according to the time frame they gave me. He was very personable & helpful & didn't dally but checked out the ac/heat service.

The the office staff used phone etiquette which is a rarity these days. They were kind friendly and very responsive to my needs.
My home oversight was done by Greg and he was very professional extremely knowledgeable as well as very courteous to my needs here at home.
The insulation crew that came in Jose and Eli were very sociable polite and professional. They were meticulous on their installation and picking up their trade litter.
The follow-up after installation was courteous and prompt.
As a retired adter 47 years as an Engineer & Service Technician for the U.S. Air Traffic System (aka FAA) I would like to say...
"If there are any doubts put them to rest I would highly recommend these people and this business".

The salesman Jim was very knowledgeable, and from there the techs that came to install the system were great. Good price, but more importantly Great service. New system in, with the changes I wanted, and old system out within 4 hours.

As before I am very impressed with Lonnie your service man. Not only was he prompt, which is unusual these days, but also very professional, courteous, and thorough. He not only performed the service timely and correctly he was also very good at explaining issues that may arise. I also have an issue with the size of the thermostat, and he went out of his way to find out how we could rectify the problem including setting up thermostat readings on my phone. Lonnie is truly an asset to air now and I certainly hope that he is regarded as such thank you for providing such a good service and excellent employee.
