Our Place Air & Home Repair

Our AC stopped working and after seeing multiple good reviews for Our Place, I called and made an appointment. Amaury came and checked everything thoroughly, explaining what he was doing during each step. He was friendly, knowledgeable and understanding that we wanted to make sure it was fixed quickly because I have a one year old here. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it as well as running maintenance on the rest of the unit while he was here.
A little while later we had another issue and Ricky came to our rescue. He was also quick to find the problem and get the AC back up and running for us.
Both Amaury & Ricky were great and we happily paid for a year long membership in case something else happens in the future!

After the technician took a look at my AC which had stopped running, I was informed that I had a bad wire between my thermostat and unit and that it would cost me $1,350 to repair. Worst of all, they did not fix it on the spot, or offer a temporary solution, they instead told me to call their dispatch the following day to hopefully get it fixed the next evening. They also seemed more interested in upselling me to get their monthly subscription service or to upgrade to a nest thermostat (which they quoted at $735... which would mean they charge about $400 for less than an hour of labor on a $300 thermostat). I called to get a second opinion and someone came out that day and told me my drip pan was full and that was the issue. They charged me $150 for the service call and to drain/unclog my unit and they were on my way. The drip pan should be one of the first things checked for any person who knows how to repair an AC unit. That leaves me with two lines of reasoning: 1) the technician who looked at my AC unit was incompetent enough to not even check my drip pan and guessed at what could be the issue, or 2) saw that it was the drip pan, tried to point the issue somewhere else to force me to spend an exorbitant amount of money for a simple solution without me never knowing otherwise. Both are terrible, and the more likely one is fraudulent. Do not invite these people into your home! There are many quality AC repair techs who will not try and take advantage of you.

Ricky J. did a good job on our heating system. Now we will have some heat this winter. Our Place is always quick to dispatch someone and they are professional.

We purchased the AC maintenance plan after having our unit replaced. They called me when the recommended maintenance time came up. Alec, our technician, was not only on time but early. He was professional and communicative. Definitely appreciate having a company like this in our corner for AC work during the Florida summers.

John came out to fix a bad capicitor and was able to quickly identify and resolve the issue. He was very friendly and professional. John was very thorough in checking the rest of the system to ensure we wouldn't have any other issues. Will definitely continue using this company for any ac maintenance or repair in the future.

The blower motor went out in our AC handler and after calling Our Place Air & Home Repair, Jovan came out promptly. He was diligent in his process of determining what the issues were, while keeping me informed along the way. He wasn't pushy about anything and when all was said and done the AC was kicking again! To solidify our relationship I went with the membership for the perks and its nice to have being the state we are in. Thanks again and I'll pass the word..

Jonathan N. did a great job looking over my units and giving detail to issues he found and plans on how to get issues resolved. He was very professional and worked promptly.

I was quoted almost 10k to replace AC vents/ducting that were not even compromised. Was told the only repair was to replace. ALMOST went though with it glad I had 3 different opinions. Went with a handyman to patch frayed insulation. Overall, there were zero separations. I almost got robbed by this company. Then the tech charged me unnecessarily because I diden't join one of their "levels of service" programs. TIP: ALWAYS get second and third opinions.

We have been using Our Place for several years. Jason passed by today to do our AC routine maintenance and he checked everything very well and professionally. We appreciated his professionalism and his advice on some issues he found. He was quick to give us a quote, but in no way pressured us to purchase anything. We definitely recommend Our Place Home and Air and Jason as well.
