BUYER BEWARE! DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AHEAD! I scheduled a repair on 9/16/22 to be completed the following week for $957.65. This was the amount for 2 hours of labor ONLY as the small replacement part was covered under warranty. I realized this seemed unreasonable and requested to cancel the day before the work was to be done. They said there was a 25% restocking fee for their labor and they would be keeping $239.41 for restocking "labor". Although I'm no stranger to restocking "fees", they are always a fixed dollar amount vs a percentage (what if my canceled service was $20,000? Would I be on the hook for $5,000? Adirondack thinks so). I even offered to pay 25% of their cost for the part to no avail. After making my case clearly, the phone conversation became heated leading Adam? to hang up on me, but not before he threatened to give me $0 on my requested return. None of my additional phone calls were returned. This is a significantly unethical practice, at best. At worst, it's deceptive to a criminal level. I will never be doing business with them again. BUYER BEWARE!

Contacted Adirondack on Friday morning and they had a tech out to the house between 12 and 2 that afternoon. The tech, Justin, was great. He had a can do, positive attitude, was friendly and professional. Our A/C was not doing its job, and Justin found a couple minor issues which he showed us and fixed. He showed us the changes to the air temp at the vents and air handler, which got colder as he worked. The trip charge was $95.23, "flat labor" to add Freon was $133.75 and Freon of 1 lb. cost $112.35. Total of $341.33. We were very happy with Adirondack's tech and the company's ability to get someone out to our house within hours. Would recommend them to friends and family.
