One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Lakeland

4 year old HVAC system stopped cooling today. This system was purchased from Scott’s and maintained by Scott’s. They were out to service at the beginning of April. Today, this 4 year old system had a battery for the fan and compressor fail. Replacement $205?
Oh and the drain lines need cleaned $179?? To wet vac suction the line out. It took under 10 minutes to do so. Those “chemicals” they run through it must be very special, as well as expensive. As I pushed back on the $179 vacuum job, I was told that they could waive the $79 service fee. The only positive part of this experience but also shows they know what a rip off these two repair costs are. Be prepared to pay more if you don’t sign up for their maintenance program too. Trying to upsell is part of their visit too.
Shop around as there has to be another, less expensive option than Scott’s.

Moises came out and found the problem and had it fixed in less than 10 minutes. Great technician! Highly recommend the company, they’ve came out 3 times in the last 2 years and always quality work.

Juan and Miguel are technicians for this company. They came to my house to look at my ac system. I flagged them down after I saw them working on my neighbors AC. I had a vibrating noise on my condenser. They told me my LRA was too high. They said my Running Amps were too low, that coolant was being fried and it all needed replacing, and it would be $1300 for the labor only (parts under warranty) and that they have a payment plan available.

A second opinion completely contradicted everything they said, there was no need to repair anything, the noise was fixed and there was only a basic service charge.

The company that fixed the noise told me that One Hour Air and others pay their technicians on a Commission. It’s their job to over sell everything. Im not against commission, but it should be an ethical sales transaction. This certainly would have been a sad situation had I got with One Hour Air.

If you contact One Hour Air, just make sure you get a second opinion.

Our service tech Anthony Simeon installed two UV lights and a pan treatment in our air handler. He explained in detail the type and life of these lights and the right type of pan treatment for our system size. During a previous visit he replaced the thermostat and explained all the features in detail. We would welcome Anthony back for our next maintenance. Great Job!

Austin was our One Hour Tech. He was fantastic. We had a house flooding and the humidity tripped a kill switch on our AC. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem, as well as answer all of our questions. Our experience was a bright spot in an otherwise stressful day.

Service man came out and diagnosed my molded system and duct work. The system was in terrible shape - he gave me many options within my budget to get this corrected. They came out 4 days later, ripped all my ducts out and my ac as well. Replaced everything in one day as promised. They did a great job and delivered what they promised. Also they are extremely clean - do not leave a mess anywhere. they double checked every room for a mess and cleaned it up. Very professional company.
