I just graduated their HVAC program. The teachers are great people. I'd recommend this school to anyone that's interested in this field. I can't thank the entire staff enough for what they've done for me. Thank you Florida Academy.

Florida Academy HVAC Course gives you great opportunities. The instructors Mike, Bill, and Danny give you not only the book knowledge you need to know but personal experience and the hands on experience you need to succeed in the HVAC Industry! Thank you guys for the grand experience, you're an awesome Team!
P.S. For future students this is definitely not a scam!

Not a great experience. Was hoping i would get a student with a little experience. Hair cut looks awful so now have to go spend the $40 to have it cut properly. Over-charged for pedicure so be sure to ask upfront what the cost will be. Took 3 1/2 hrs for a basic short hair cut with very little time spent styling or blow drying and a pedicure. Massage chairs do not work, running back and forth looking for product. Not a real pedicure. My friend goes here for massage and she enjoyed it but i do not think the reduction in price is worth my time. Friendly people though.

I've had a few services done here from the student clinic and the professional clinic. The students are very professional and have always done a great job but the rooms you are provided these services aren't private so it's a little tough to relax. The professional clinic is wonderful for privacy and great services. I've seen Katherine a view times for full body massage and she's fantastic!

F.A HVAC school is awesome. The hands on experience is great and the teachers are into really helping the students succeed. Dan, Mike, Wild Bill are awesome. Stephen is the man with resumes. LJ " el heffe ". Mrs. Bonnie, Jennifer, Shannon, Carla are the sweetest most helpful women ever. It was a great experience.

Choose another institution for hvac training, it has lacked regardless of current events there is no excuse. Taking a simple step such as limiting class size could have circumvented a large portion of areas lacking..
Also, as of recently twelve modules are being crammed in three weeks, and here I ask myself why. Using critical thinking, it would seem that in order for us to graduate at our scheduled date, this has been their chosen path. But why hmm, well it would make sense in order to keep the class schedule on course(more money). Applying this method In turn negatively effects the learning process, i.e information retention.
I chose a trade for the hands on experience and what I’ve become is a glorified book worm...

After reading the review from Elf Ears I'm left scratching my head... I'm a former student of Ms. Lois and after three years I've become a spa manager in a spa in Estero. Ms. Lois was an incredible intructor, SHE is the reason I loved my experience in school. We spent an exhausting first five weeks in theory class learning everything from sanitation to product knowledge, the business and the interview process and how to handle ourselves. We were also tested on all of the above everyday for the first five weeks. You can not graduate or pass the state exam without this knowledge. The next five weeks we were there to hone our skills. I am fortunate that I'm an artist and sculpturer, some things came easier for me, but learning acrylics is a totally different animal. It takes MONTHS to perfect acrylics because the ratio of liquid and power needs to be perfect to get a beautiful and lasting nail. There are salons that won't give a new tech a set of acrylics for MONTHS until the tech has perfected the skill. They are aware that new tech's haven't been at it long enough for them to get in down. So in response to Elf Ears, and as someone that has HIRED 4 students of Florida Academy over the last year, 3 of which are still with me, I ask, do you know about this lack of knowledge because they had to preform a practical? Did you provide them access and tell them they were welcome to use any of the salons products during practical? Are you aware that there may been nerves involved in doing a practical? As a 45 year old woman I KNOW I was nervous, in fact I didn't do my best work at the time. Did you have them perform a set of acrylics in the practical? Did you expect new students to come out of school with a perfect set of acrylics? Did you not know that when you hire someone you show them 'YOUR' salons way of doing things? If you do they will follow. And if they were not new tech's right out of school, then maybe they developed bad habits on their own or at another salon or had been out of school a while before seeking a job, and is then no reflection of what was taught in Florida Academy. Remember Elf Ears you are interviewing PEOPLE that have GRADUATED, which means they read the workbooks and passed all tests in school and then passed the state board test. Beyond the classroom it all that individuals talent and drive... I, for one, KNOW, that Ms. Lois did EVERYTHING on her part to get us to succeed. SHE was the reason I thoroughly enjoyed my ten weeks in school!!!

The facial was amazing! The receptionist was rude, extremely condescending and flat out liar. I will not be returning. I too am in the customer service business and would never treat people like that. Florida Academy should look into these classes provided by the VCB, Guest First. The receptionist needs some serious training on customer service.
The website says once price and the liar receptionist stated a completely different price then proceeded to argue with me as if I was wrong. It should have been handled a little more professionally.

Attended the HVAC program, I have to say it was great. The instructor steve made the class just fun. The knowledge he has and the fact that he always made sure everybody is on the same page is what a lot of schools lack. Dont get me wrong All the instructors are great but Steve Made us HVAC Techs.
