Terrible customer service. I purchased two air conditioning units from Universal Air & Heat back in 2020 (also installed by them). These units have failed multiple times, costing me a lot of money, and although still under warranty, their labor costs are outrageously expensive. Technicians are rude and call center people provide little to no assistance. I will not use this Company again.

Universal was a great experience from making the appointment to emailing the receipt. I had the $49 tune-up. The technician, Robert, was very professional and seemed to know his onions about my system. He recommended some options, but there was no hard sell. Also, they called to confirm, called 30 minutes before, and arrived on time. When I do need service, they will be the ones I call because of the experience I had with this tune-up. Highly recommend.

Back 2 Tha Roots

Our journey with Universal Air & Heat began in June. We had a couple sent to the house to replace our A/C unit and several air ducts. After several days of work, we remained without cool air coming from our vents so a supervisor was called in. He made two visits to the house and improved the system a bit. However, we were still seeing our system struggle with the heat. We accepted this as just a part of the FL heat. Fast forward a month and our inspection was finally scheduled with the city. Unfortunately, the initial inspection failed. Universal Air and Heat rose to the occasion and scheduled a tech to come out and correct the issued identified. This marked the moment my opinion of this company pulled a 180. Sullivan appeared at our property with a list of items to address. This individual personified professionalism, efficiency, thoroughness, caring, respect, knowledge and a genuine care for the customer and the job at hand. He spent many hours correcting prior issues, bringing the entire system up to code and greatly increased the air flow and overall efficiency of our system. Sullivan was a God send in a situation that first appeared to have no end or resolution in sight. One person can make a difference, can change perception. What once was doubt, concern and lack of faith in a company to deliver on expectations was erased and replaced with confidence that this company would hold true to expectation. Our entire house is now cool and comfortable. Our system passed inspection and all rooms are perfectly cooled. Sullivan has made me a believer that people still care, that companies appreciate their customers and that yes, one person can truly make a difference. Thank you Sullivan for taking the time to do the job right, for your hard work and dedication. You exemplify customer service, work ethic and a commitment to doing things right with a smile. This man deserves a hard earned raise! Hats off to you Sullivan, thank you for turning a nightmare into a dream. Sullivan, know YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

I am happy with the new A/C unit installed in my home. The two guys were friendly and hard working and they did what they had to do. No small talk, no explaining anything. I would have liked a little more conversation explaining the new unit. I know they do it every day and they may not be thinking about it. But for us customers, it is the first experience with each company.

I have no real complaints except two suggestions. Before installing the new unit inside, it would have been nice the area was dusted and cleaned. The new unit was placed basically above all the dust and debris from the old unit without really cleaning the area.

The crew arrived at 11 am and left after 4 PM. I would have liked an earlier start and finish.

Do not use this company! Very unprofessional! Tried twice to have them come out, and they canceled both times. Then I was suppose to get a call from the mgr today and he never called me back either. Didn’t show up twice when they were suppose to! Called another company today and they were here within an hour! That’s good business! Thank goodness I didn’t give my money to these unprofessional people

I will say that their service is quick called on Tuesday had new unit installed on Thursday. No issues with unit or installation - yes the company uses sub-contractors my installer was a sub-contractor, I just found out that the company did not apply for city permit correctly and did not get a final inspection 6 months since installation - called company and permit department blamed city for their not applying correctly for permit or getting final inspection.

Our air conditioner was not cooling. Technician arrived 1 hour after my initial call. Two hours after first contact with Universal Air and Heat my air conditioner was back cooling our home.Technician arrived 1 hour after my initial call.

Simon was very responsive to our request to have our AC ducts cleaned and coated with protective spray. The cost was very reasonable and the work was done quickly. He recommended installing a light inside my AC to prevent mold, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company.
