They installed a new AC system for me a little over 2 years ago. It broke on two occasions shortly after that. Recently it broke again and they told me one of the parts was not under warranty despite being told that all parts had a 10 year warranty and tried to charge me over $1200 for the parts and labor. I refused to pay for the estimate and he sped off while running over part of my lawn. I called again on a later date and they told me it was under warranty but they told me it was $999.00 for just the labor. I asked someone else to fix it. They got the replacement part directly from the manufacturer as it was still under warranty and fixed it in half an hour for $160.00. Unbelievable!!

Ray was pleasant friendly worked fast (maybe the incoming thunderstorm helped lol) I also had a burned out fluorescent mold light that has been ordered and will be installed on Monday for a fair price of $250 I have researched the price and very competitive. I have used Universal before and trust the company with any advice they provide.

Wonderful customer service and excellent work. John was very thorough and explained all that had ro be done. This was a big job because the coils had not been cleaned in years and when he finished the unit looked brand new. Running perfectly again. Highly recommend Universal.

Be careful this is a terrible company, they steal your money without any scruples. I called them to find out about their service plans stating clearly that I needed maintenance and that I had not done it for three years since I bought the air conditioner from them. We talk about a cleaning and tune up to avoid future problems. Everything very clear until there. The person who attended me named Mercedes very kind at the beginning offered me a service of $ 149.00 that supposedly would cover my need. On the day of the appointment, the technician named Paul came, took out a cover, took a photo and told me that he had to come back another day because he had to clean the machine and that would cost me $ 690.00. With amazement I asked him about the tune up and everything "offered" and he told me that was the tune up, that is, to come open a lid and look, it did not take even five minutes. When I told him that was not what was offered, I asked him to communicate with the salesperson Mercedes, when I spoke with she I told her that it was not what I requested her when we talked also I was not comfortable with the service and asked her to return my money, She told me that she had not forced me to take the service and she would only return $ 100 and the remaining 49 were for the technician's visit. Of course I was not going to accept that and I told him so, it was when she yelled at me that she would not return anything because I signed a contract, which I never saw, nor signed nor she sent it to me by email as we had agreed, cutting me off the phone until for two times. A few minutes later I received a call from a person who identified herself as a manager named Marlene who in summary she did not acknowledge the rude attitude of her salesperson when hanging up the phone and also did not apologize for the lack of clarity explaining her services and only offered to return the $ 100 because according to her information the technician had flushed the lines, which was a lie since the technician did nothing more than take a picture. She told me to wait on the line and then, one more time, without apologizing for her bad information she had, she told me that his company's policy charge $ 49 for the technician visit and, again, she told me that would return only $ 100. After that she told me that she had another call and hanged out the phone. All this is nothing more than a scam, bad service, bad attention and they make you feel guilty because they tell you "you accepted", "or you gave me your credit card I did not force you". As I said at the beginning, be very careful with this company, The whole deal is based on getting your money out of you for a service they never gave me. If that was done to me, I was their client since 2018, how will it be to a person who calls for the first time.

Well here goes, so far very good, I called several HVAC companies they came out gave me free estimates. All very very high estimates, over priced. It seems these HVAC companies think every family that lives in Florida is Rich and has a lot of money. Its really just greed on their part. Shop around before you buy. Don't fall for fancy ads on TV commercials, guess what, you are over paying so they can pay for their ads, (spouses and hot weather). We've all seen them. I chose Universal Air and Heat, their prices are not the lowest but Bobby came by my house ASAP. My AC broke down on the 4th of July, I called several AC companies, 4 of them come by on the 5th the next day. Bobby was the the first. What stood out from him was, he actually took time to inspect and take pictures of every single part of my unit inside and out even took apart and looked inside my unit he also checked the outside electrical breakers. He took his time to answer all my questions. He went out to his truck did some calculation came back in and actually showed me an estimate and several options for financing and rebates. To me this was great! This guy actually cares, WOW! And like I said before not the lowest price quote, a bit high but not to high. But all the other guys from other companies looked at the units, gave me a quote out of mouth and left in 5 minutes and said; we will email you the full estimate. (Very high estimates). The installer from Universal showed up on Thursday my only day off. This guy Kelvin is fast and knowledgeable great and very nice person, he could have done the install faster if he had a helper. At first I thought the unit was not working, he said to give it time to start cooling the house so he left. After a few hours I started to worry, its not cooling , 5 hours later it feels cool. He was right, it needs time to cool the house. Woke up to a cold as ice house. I had to turn the temp up from 74 to 76. Great job great installer Kelvin. (My wife is not hot) but thanks to Universal Air, she is cool calm and collected.

I've been calling upon their services for the past 7+ years and they are always reliable and provide excellent service. I do find some technicians are more knowledgeable in certain areas than others, but if I ever have doubts the company addresses the concerns quickly, and has no problem sending another expert out to collaborate and get the work done. Recently we've had the pleasure of Robert fixing our air conditioner and replacing the contacter. He was detailed and professional and took the time to explain, as I like to keep detailed notes on the maintenance in our home. Thank you!

In 2014 they Install Airconditioning system rheem for my house , after they finish the installation at night the AC stop working, my husband open the outside unit and find out two wires are not connected he connected the wire the A C worked, thank God , In 2020 they Install an other System 5T 16 SEER High Efficiency top of the line to an other property, I've been having problem with a frozen coil since the installation , the first time I called someone came add freon and left, I kept calling one technician told me I need to change the control board, an other technician told me I have a leek in the outside unit, I don't know who to trust the first technician that Install the unit or the second one that came after, both worked for the same company, I am still left in the air with no solution If I knew I am gonna go true unprofessional installation I will kept my old unit, worth of all I recently found out one of the Installer never been to technical school as he claimed. what a shame I am very disappointed 😞

I wanna acknowledge technician DJameson Moise, he came out to service my Ac unit that was installed one year ago, he was very nice and helpful, he made us feel very comfortable, he ensured that everything would be taking care of and not to worry. He communicated everything to us and gave us a time frame of what we need to do in order to keep our Ac unit healthy. Thank you mr. DJameson Moise.
