AC broke down under warranty, Del air could not come out to look at for 4 days. They booked an appointment for all day on the Sunday with no particular time commitment. They required us to answer the phone that day otherwise they would cancel the appointment. They then showed up after not calling ahead that morning. Because it was Sunday they could not get spare parts So repairs are pushed out another few days. It's hard not to assume there's no urgency since we won't be paying them anything as it's all warranty service.
Update, day 15. AC has been out for two weeks due to a major part being unavailable from Carrier for this only 3 year old top of the line system. There is no estimated time for restock. Del Air appears to be very department focused so each person passes us off to the next with no focused or holistic customer management. AC will be out for another 1-2 weeks minimum and no one has escalalated us to a supervisor.
After leaving this review, an automated response to this review asked us to email them at a generic customer service inbox to ask for supervisor investigation. This is clown service. We have interacted with four staff and none of them felt the need to escalate probably because we are so polite to them on the phone. I really don't want to be a pain just to get caring service. That puts us in a horrible position.
Now I am running 6 portable AC units which cost thousands of dollars with no end in sight. I really wish Del Air had some sort of customer care plan in place for these types of situations. I think stocking a corner of their warehouse with a few dozen portable rolling AC units that could be loaned out to customers would be a great start. Will update when I know more.
