Our A/C went out on Monday late afternoon and needed to have our system replaced, Cliff and Jason were here the very next day, new A/C was up and going without a hitch- Cliff explained everything that needed to be done before and after!

Velocity A/C installed a brand new system at my residence 15 months ago. They did a superb job. The system stopped working this spring and Roberto who’s an excellent technician provided prompt and professional service to the system. Today the system stopped & required service again and I was lucky enough to have Roberto return to service my equipment which stopped running. A blown fuse for the equipment was found. Replacement price for a single fuse was quoted at $180. This was a simple 40 amp single use fuse manufactured for Ace Hardware. I found matching fuses at Ace Hardware for three dollars apiece. I find this kind of treatment - to someone who’s purchased an expensive system - very disappointing.

I received their mailer, so I requested Velocity Air Conditioning to do A/C system maintenance. They were great when calling to schedule an appointment.

The tech was 30 minutes late when they pulled in. Then they sat in their vehicle for five minutes. I was never contacted prior to their arrival saying they were going to be late only when the tech pulled in assuring my address was correct. A little odd for a professional business. Regardless, the tech's attitude was okay I suppose (everyone has off days), I assume he checked everything, and in conclusion, gave me a dire report.

Curious I went behind the tech and sure enough, the outside unit fins were bent with metal flakes around the unit and inside (not sure how), and the charge cap was not put on after checking the pressures (I assume), it was just left lying on the ground. I have not even gone into the attic where the handler is. And yes, I have photos.

For a professional company, I was just surprised at the overall service workmanship being sloppy and the lack of communication with being so tardy.

I would not hire this company and I do not trust their recommendations after this interaction.

First guy left his tools and the outside unit open all night with meter so hooked up. Guys came out to replace a coil the next day (<5yr old unit I got from them and charged $1500 for what the warranty didn't cover) and showed up 3 hours past the time we were given. 5 hours later they slapped it back together carelessly and left at 10:15pm. By 9am the unit stopped working again because of the way they put it back together. Saving grace was their tech Eric who took pride in his work, cleaned up their mess, and got everything fixed up properly. They still need to replace a hanger bar they stripped and bent (we'll see if that ever happens) but at least it's running again.
