They are very punctual and very professional company. They walk you through each step. I don't know if it is a industry norm for 1 capacitor to change out and 5 min worth of work literally was $275. I felt like I was ripped off for that easy repair. Tech arrived and was done within 5 minutes then sat in the truck for 30 min. I don't know if that's to justify the repair cost. Unfortunately I will shop around better next time.
Had a new unit installed in NOV 2019. I had a maintenance tech come out in Aug. He did nothing wouldn't even vacuum my drain line. Said he couldn't get to it. After he left my ac unit would not cool proper. I made 3 calls to Aspen for service and they would not come out. I finally called another company. The guy from Aspen apparently knocked off an attached vent. Attic air was flowing for almost 3 weeks in to my house. Aspen is not the family owned company they used to be. I made a huge mistake having this place in stall my new AC....as the tech from PREFERRED SERVICE inspected all equipment. There was also a vent/duct that was installed backward. I have made a complaint to CARRIER CORPORATION. This place that used to be ASPEN should not be in business. They are branched off from a company in Georgia ...They are just the worst company. Believe me dont use this place. The good reviews you see here about a tech named Stanley is prob not real, as they have no good men. The maintenance tech that came out to my house could not even speak English. YOU ARE SO SORRY ASPEN.YOU are GOING DOWN. YOU WILL NEVER SUCCEED IN BOCA, FL I give Aspen zero stars.....UPDATE...response to Aspen. Your assurance phone number is a joke. NO ONE ANSWERS....Really Aspen??????
WARNING: SCATHING REVIEW! I have no idea how this business, A: is still in business and B: has a 3.8 rating. Yes, we had a new HAVC unit installed in June of 2020 and it still working, although in the 1st 30 days they did have to come out for a service call which was handled well. That said, that is the only good thing we will/can say about this company except for 2 others a little further into the review. From the sales rep and sales manager (both of whom are not there any longer), that sold us a Carrier condenser and air handler. The more obvious unit is the condenser which is the one outside with the Carrier logo on it, but installed a Rheem air handler which is in the very back of a closet and the logo or brand isn't visible, and was a "seer" less than what we were sold and, which is a considerable price point difference for a Rheem and for a "seer" at a lower number. When the city came for the final inspection, it failed as the paperwork submitted to the city didn't match what was installed. I called Aspen immediately, and they stated they would resubmit the paperwork and correct the situation. Admittedly, I wasn't tuned in to it for many months due to injury/illness however, when I received a call to schedule a final inspection after many months after the original install, I got a call from a woman who took the place of the person (2nd good thing about our experience) who was originally in that position. After speaking with her the 1st time on 3/18/21, she said she would look into it and get back to me. A week went went by so I called her back, she didn't have any information, and said she would research further and get back to me. Another week went by, I called back, no recollection of our conversation until I gave all the details again, and said she would call me back as she needed to speak with the manager. I asked to hold; she came back on the line, the file is lost. I was now on speaker phone with her and one of the managers, and was understandably EXTREMELY UPSET now, and admittedly was verbally abusive and LOUD. Finally, after send several follow up texts to the installation manager, they determined that they needed to replace the air handler, and did so on 4/9/21. At that time they were supposed to replace the 50 amp with a 60 amp breaker in my breaker box, and label it on the condenser. I was out of town, and my husband didn't realize they hadn't done it. It is now 4/28/21, and with extremely bad, near non existent follow up or retention of issues, and no attention to DETAIL, the final inspection is scheduled for tomorrow. I had to call, again, to advise the FIRST item on the attached failed final inspection in OCT 2020 (which I attached in a text message to the manager per his request on 3/23/21), I stated . I went to check to see if the 60 amp breaker was installed, and if the label was on the handler. NOPE! I called and advised Aspen of this. When I spoke to the permit person (who I will not name)I asked to have him call MY number; but she gave him the other number listed on the account, my husbands number who works from home , and who was on a call and couldn't take the call. In fairness, the guy sent to take care of it, was not part of the install team, but was told to call 30 min prior to arriving. He was given the wrong number of the 2 on the account, and it went to voice mail...but didn't bother to go just a quick easy extra step to call the office and ask if there is an alternate number OR call his manager for the number, or advice, and to whom I also spoke today about the situation said he was with the guy who would be coming out today. She has spoken to me more than enough times to know which number to have provided, AND with ALL the issues we have had, I told her, twice to have him call my number. When he came to the door, my for very loud barking dogs went crazy, and I became immediately upset. I COULD GO ON, but the character limit will not allow. Definitely will NOT recommend Aspen Air! NO WAY!
Purchased a 5 ton Carrier AC from Aspen last February. The sales person was very knowledgeable and professional. Since then, I have had to call Aspen a couple of times to tweak some stuff on the AC. They always came promptly and fixed my issues (install a delay, listen to a noise, etc.) for free. I have a great running AC now. I just had my first maintenance service and as usual, the tech (Jason) was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I called, the receptionist (Olivia) was always nice and tried to accommodate my busy schedule. I'm impressed. Would definitely recommend.
Run away!! This is the worst company I have ever encountered. Not only did they cancel and no show on me three times, but when my AC stops working the day they were suppose to come due to a clogged drain they try and charge after hours pricing on top of repairs. This never would have been needed if they would have shown up 2 months ago and did the service as scheduled. When we protested regarding the extra fees they were completely unapologetic. And today it was supposed to be 8-12 and as of 11:00 into another 8-12 appointment no call and no show.
I had a service contract with them after they fixed my unit (under warranty by Lennox), since I purchased the unit at Costco, I was referred to Aspen since the old company was not working with Costco any longer. They serviced my unit Thursday and it started leaking water after they left. I called and they made an appointment for Saturday 12-4. At 2:30pm I called asking if the tech was still coming, I was assured they were. At 5pm I called and no one picked up the call. Wasted my Saturday waiting. Called today Monday early and I was given a window of 12-2pm. Guess what? They didn’t show up today either. Total disregard to a customer. Stay away! Very unprofessional!!!
They never closed out the permit and that was Dec 2020. So now I'm getting violations from the city. We've called three times and they say that they will take care of it. A year and a half later. They are awful. Their technician doesn't even know how to operate the thermostat. Don't use this company
Called Costco to have an estimate for a new air conditioner installed. A salesperson from Aspen came to my house to assess my needs and provide me with an estimate. After a hour and a half of a presentation and measurements, the salesperson was not able to answer questions about the system or my needs. Wanted me to decide on what system I wanted. When I did not give him a definitive answer, He called his manager to discuss our conversation to try make the sale. This company uses high pressure sales tactics and is not transparent as they do not answer questions about the equipment, the installation, or additional equipment that may be needed. What a waste of time. Disappointed with Costco for using this company.
I Called on 7/7/22 for an appointment and received an appointment for 7/8/22 from 8am to 12pm. 7/8/22 they call in the morning to confirm and I confirm. They called in the afternoon to confirm and changed the time to 2pm and I confirm. They show up unprepared and reschedule me for 7/9/22. It’s the summer time and I have 3 kids at home. This is so unexceptionable.
